Hey Shiny, could you please tell me where I can get the little plastic cover from, which is directly on top of the variator? Wanted to remove the huge ugly plastic which covers the whole gearbox/variator...but there's a hole and I did not find a cover to suit... Thanks a lot (If you understood what I mean :D)

Hey, nice Build :) Question....What Kind of Carburetor slider do you use in the PHBL25? The Standard 30 or 40?

It would depend on set up but 40 is the norm :)

that engine turned out really mint. what cylinder do you like better, the malossi 172, or pm tuning 172. also how come no one ever used the polini 180 cylinder.
@shinyred7 жыл бұрын
wsmaga thanks ;) pm barrel beats the malossi hands down ,the polini is exactly the same as the standard 180 barrel port timing wise ...thats why nobody uses them

Can anyone explain what these numbers 172,173,183 mean? I thought there were only 50,125 and 180 ccm runners?
@shinyred7 жыл бұрын
+MirGil Malossi 172 kit or pm pro street 172 with a 55 mm long stroke crank makes the cc 183 Or with a 54mm stroke crank its a 179 cc 😊

i do have Gilera Runner sp 50cc i can make it to 80cc? with long use i mean not going to broken so fast with this upgrad ? lol
@Lucas-vu2cr5 жыл бұрын
You can upgrade it to 70cc and they are usualy very good and how long it lasts, depends on how many rpm's it makes and the quality of the cilinder
@Germknoedel3 жыл бұрын
Great Rebuild! But I think the pro street is kind of a scam, it says online, that it is supposed to make 25hp
@shinyred3 жыл бұрын
Yes but they have to claim so much because so many others lie about power figures ...Good kit though only really have that or the malossi to choose from 👍
@Germknoedel3 жыл бұрын
@@shinyred The malossi is also great! Kinda sad that the malossi makes more power with stock components xD Well, one positive thing about the pro street is that you can modify the cylinder a lot because there's so much material :D What do you think, which one is better? Malossi or PM? I'm not sure but I gotta make a decision because I'll probably get a Piaggio/Gilera 125ccm Scooter in about 2 months and I want to build a second engine for it with 172ccm :D
@shinyred3 жыл бұрын
@@Germknoedel pm pro Street is a lot more powerful out the box than the malossi and you can do so much more to the pm 😀

Dear shiny red, awesome build, keep up the good work. Anyways i need some help getting my runner built, i am currently running a 70 runner but looking into a 172/180, but i've already heard that the stock cilinders dont really put alot of power down. What would you Guys suggest for a cilinder. I want to make decent power but dont want to be repairing my ped every weekend. I can use some advice, not only about the cilinder if you wouldnt mind :)
@shinyred7 жыл бұрын
bliephoofd hi thanks for the comments ,i would go for the pm pro street gives the best power and if looked after is reliable ;)
@bliephoofd7 жыл бұрын
shiny red, will do, thank you for the quick response and the good advice, looking forward to more video's :)
@quadmeister5 жыл бұрын
bliephoofd die malossi is juist niks.. gewoon zelfde als origineel scheelt niks.. 2/2 is snelste qua malossi en 1/2 die pm pro street die hij zegt is idd goed maar dan zou ik ook andere krukas nemen

why is most hp i see on your dyno runs like 26-28hp?? =(
@shinyred7 жыл бұрын
because that's what they make ,I don't make the numbers up .theres enough videos on my channel to compare plenty of engines to one another over years ,the dyno is one of the best on the market ,I cant speak for other wild figures banding around all you can compare is on the same dyno not too different dynos all I can do is bring you what comes through the shop recorded on video with dyno print outs and I cant see many others doing the same and as I mentioned theres consistent line to look back through ..hoping to bring a bit of reality its not just a numbers game ;)
@alex1337bm7 жыл бұрын
yea sry for my short sentence, sounded a bit mean. did not meant that wrong: just seen one of your " fully built " runner .. with PM setup, wild paintjob and whatever and they all produce like 26hp or something. here in germany, for example me and 2 mates, we all have like 30hp on the wheel with 183ccm on p4 amerschläger dyno. with 199ccm ( 68mm and 57mm crankshaft) around 40hp. love your videos, but i miss those powerful engines a bit .
@alex1337bm7 жыл бұрын
and another question : youre interested in handmade racing exhauts for 172-176-183-199cc engines? its way better than malossi, mhr and way more peak power than the pm exhaust. going to a dyno to setup and test the exhaust soon, gonna give you some diagrams soon.
@shinyred7 жыл бұрын
alex1337bm yes sure let me know how they perform ;) back to the original question ..hp is a different reading to bhp google will explain better than i can lol thanks for commenting i appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment . you could always come over and try one to compare ;)
