@@ramloganfracic5761 Dear best wishes for you. l am so glad hearing such nice words of prayer from you. Thank you so much. I am from Pakistan, its an lslamic country in the South Asia. Yes once it was part of united lndia called the subcontinent, governed by the British Empire. Pakistan got independence from British rule in 1947. I live in the extreme north region of Pakistan, the province named as Gilgit-Baltistan. Its a mountaineous area, boarding with China, Afghanistan, and lndia, also closer to Russia and Tajikistan. I depic the cultural and social norms of my region Gilgit-Baltistan in particular. The people living here are very simple, humble, hospitable who have been following the customs tradition, culture and values of their ancestors for a long period of time. Pakistan in general and Gilgit-Baltistan in specific has been declared one of the ten most attractive tourists destinations by an international magazine for the years 2020/21. We have here cultural diversity, mighty Mountains, lush green grasses, fresh water rivers, streams and much more.

Kalash people are quite different from people living in gilgit, Kalash tribe specifically lives in a particular area in Chitral region of KPK province of Pakistan. Whereas, we people of Gilgit have our own languages, culture and norms. Although both kalash valley and gilgit/hunza valley are parts of Pakistan.

Open hair culture is not a gigit culture it's Hunza culture make a correction
@jgilgit
@jgilgit 4 жыл бұрын
Your view is appreciated, but l think we don not make a distinction between hunza and ghizer, both are parts of the lager picture that is gilgit. People residing in any part of gilgit basically follow the same norms and values, just a little bit modifications which are principally based on their dialects they speak. Otherwise hunza, ghizer and any other region are very closer and similar in all aspects.

@Zahoor Alam No Offense To You Other People From Gilgit Baltistan But It's Kind Irritating When People Point Out Differences About This Region That Region It's Clear Their Are Different Traditions And Views But One Thing We All Have In Common Were All South Asians And Also Henna/Mehndi Ceremony Is Even Common In Many Middle Eastern Countries Including North African So Again Gilgit Baltistan Is A Region In South Asia So Mehndi Is Apart Of South Asian Culture Aswell And Should Not Be Seen As Problem To Practice Whether Your A Punjabi A Kashmiri A Pashtun Or A Baloch And Once Again As I Said When You Read My Comment I Don't Want You To Feel Offended I'm Just Saying Regardless We're All Still South Asians Because That's Were The Regions We Come From Are Located And That's What Connects Us All.
@jgilgit
@jgilgit 4 жыл бұрын
@@anairaatravinsteiniiaa5804 your point of view is very true as a part of the lager picture being South Asian, Mhendi ceremony has a long rooted history in the marriages in South Asia in general and gilgit Baltisran in particular, only the form has changed here as now we make a separate arrangement for it, the essence remains the same our forefathers have been practising this ceremony but in a different way, applying hina/mhendi in marriages is common for all times here.

@@jgilgit Yep Exactly Like You Said The Bigger Picture Is Mehndi For A Long Time Has Been Apart Of South Asia But On KZbin And Everywhere Else It Seems Like Some People Just Don't Get That Different Regions Of A Country Dosent Mean Different People Because If You Live A South Asian Country No Matter The Region Your From Youll Still Be Considered South Asian But Point Is People Try To Find A Way To Divide Everything Even Ethnicities That's Why So Many People Believe Theirs A Such Thing As A Pakistani Race The Very Main Thing That Makes Pakistan And Other South Asian Countries Different From A Country For And Example Like Japan Is That Unlike Japan Pakistan Is Not A Mostly Homogeneous Country And Even Traditions Are Not All The Same In Many Parts Of Japan It's Different And While I'm Sure All Japanese Don't Look Exactly The Same They Still Are A Very Homogeneous Country Compared To A Non-Homogeneous Country Like Pakistan That's What Alot Of People Don't Understand In Pakistan Their Are Many Ethnic Groups And Even Amongst Them They Don't All Look The Same For And Example With The Baloch They Are And Iranian Ethnic Group But Alot Of Them Can Look Very Arab Looking Sometimes While Others Are Very Fair Skinned And Sometimes Can Even Have Colored Eyes So This Alone Proves That Even Two People Labeled As Being Among The Same Ethnic Branch Genetics Are Not Exactly The Same Same Thing With Kashmiri Alot Of Kashmiri Are Very Fair While Others Are Very Wheatish Or Dusky Skinned And Look More Punjabi And Some Kashmiri Aswell Have Colored Eyes So Their Obviously Is More Diversity To Them Aswell And The Genetics Are Not The Same Either So That's When People From Many Parts Of The World If They Seen Pakistan Would Be Like Wait How Come I'm Seeing Alot Of Different Phenotypes From What I Thought If The Pakistani Race Really Exists How Can Their Be This Much Diversity I Well That Would Be Simple To Answer Basically The Reason Why You See The Diversity Is Because Their Is No Such Thing As The Pakistani Race All These Different People That Identify As Pakistani Are Not A Race But Various People From Different Ethnic Backgrounds Languages Cultures That Are All Linked Together By The Religion And Their Country Which Is Pakistan And That's All Their Is To And If People Would Stop Viewing Pakistani As Being A Race And View Pakistani As A Nationality/Citizenship It Would Be Much Easier To Understand The Country In General It's Also Funny Because So Many People From India Are On The Internet Talking About The Indian Pakistani Race Different Lol Picking Random Pictures To Try To Point The Difference And Everything But Even Fairer Skin Does Not Mean The Ethnicity Is Different Or The Same Their Are Some Tamils Fairer Than Some Punjabis But Their Still Considered Tamils.
