@@ramloganfracic5761 Dear best wishes for you. l am so glad hearing such nice words of prayer from you. Thank you so much. I am from Pakistan, its an lslamic country in the South Asia. Yes once it was part of united lndia called the subcontinent, governed by the British Empire. Pakistan got independence from British rule in 1947. I live in the extreme north region of Pakistan, the province named as Gilgit-Baltistan. Its a mountaineous area, boarding with China, Afghanistan, and lndia, also closer to Russia and Tajikistan. I depic the cultural and social norms of my region Gilgit-Baltistan in particular. The people living here are very simple, humble, hospitable who have been following the customs tradition, culture and values of their ancestors for a long period of time. Pakistan in general and Gilgit-Baltistan in specific has been declared one of the ten most attractive tourists destinations by an international magazine for the years 2020/21. We have here cultural diversity, mighty Mountains, lush green grasses, fresh water rivers, streams and much more.

Kalash people are quite different from people living in gilgit, Kalash tribe specifically lives in a particular area in Chitral region of KPK province of Pakistan. Whereas, we people of Gilgit have our own languages, culture and norms. Although both kalash valley and gilgit/hunza valley are parts of Pakistan.

@jgilgit4 жыл бұрын
Your view is appreciated, but l think we don not make a distinction between hunza and ghizer, both are parts of the lager picture that is gilgit. People residing in any part of gilgit basically follow the same norms and values, just a little bit modifications which are principally based on their dialects they speak. Otherwise hunza, ghizer and any other region are very closer and similar in all aspects.

@Zahoor Alam No Offense To You Other People From Gilgit Baltistan But It's Kind Irritating When People Point Out Differences About This Region That Region It's Clear Their Are Different Traditions And Views But One Thing We All Have In Common Were All South Asians And Also Henna/Mehndi Ceremony Is Even Common In Many Middle Eastern Countries Including North African So Again Gilgit Baltistan Is A Region In South Asia So Mehndi Is Apart Of South Asian Culture Aswell And Should Not Be Seen As Problem To Practice Whether Your A Punjabi A Kashmiri A Pashtun Or A Baloch And Once Again As I Said When You Read My Comment I Don't Want You To Feel Offended I'm Just Saying Regardless We're All Still South Asians Because That's Were The Regions We Come From Are Located And That's What Connects Us All.

@@anairaatravinsteiniiaa5804 your point of view is very true as a part of the lager picture being South Asian, Mhendi ceremony has a long rooted history in the marriages in South Asia in general and gilgit Baltisran in particular, only the form has changed here as now we make a separate arrangement for it, the essence remains the same our forefathers have been practising this ceremony but in a different way, applying hina/mhendi in marriages is common for all times here.
