Alan Howarth & John Carpenter - Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers - Theme Suite [Extended & Remastered by Gilles Nuytens]
This is an extended version of the theme of the movie « Halloween V: The Revenge of Michael Myers » (1989) by Alan Howarth (reprising the theme composed by John Carpenter). This is the original music, not a remix. I also enhanced a bit the sound to make it more powerful. The original "stand alone" theme was only 1 minute long. I added much more to that! Beautifully done. The music worked well in the exciting or violent parts...but I ESPECIALLY liked it during the more quiet or subtle moments...Halloween 5 is a work of art...the cinematography and music each represent incredible achievements in their own right...the aesthetics in this film are brilliant...

One of my favorite elements to the score was when Loomis enters the Myers house(during the daytime)...they play gentle strains of the same music that was originally played in '78 when Loomis went to search the house with the sheriff...This lends the moment a nice sense of nostalgia...

@@AbandonedTheaterH2O is one of the better films of that era (Halloween 4-Resurrection), imho. I think the best Halloween film released during the years after Halloween III was Halloween IV up until Halloween (2018). Never liked Zombie’s films. I just didn’t connect with them. The first one was alright, but his version of Halloween II was stupid and didn’t make sense to me. For me, the best will always be Carpenter’s 1978 original.

This excludes the actual opening theme of the movie which sounds more like the Halloween II theme, but sadly has half of the opening riff covered up by sound effects

It's not meant to be the same. Every movie has a different soundtrack and strangely it's the Halloween 5, that sounded the simplest and closest to the original Halloween.

​@@XTHHedgehogGilles did a terrific job. But the entire soundtrack of H5 has always been one of the best ones for me. The themes used in og H2, H6, H20 all sounded more boring to me than the H5 rendition. But it's all subjective anyways.

Carpenter didn't actually do any of the score for 4, 5, or 6. He shouldn't be credited in your artwork or tags, actually! Howarth did the scoring for those sequels alone.

Only in Halloween Ends. It was the only movie of the franchise where he was officially killed on-screen. The upcoming TV-series will bring him back and there will be more movies. Apparently a whole cinematic universe. 🎃

This is the one Halloween movie where I actually got annoyed hearing the main theme because it played in EVERY OTHER SCENE It’s a great composition, but it was being played way too much in the movie

While I can appreciate your opinion @genesis-138, there really is no Halloween movie w/o the main theme. It's such an essential element of the movies and of creating suspense. Out of all the original sequels, H4, H6 and H20 should take some notes. The main theme was barely present.
