Great find. The civilian set will say "made in USA" on the base plate, mirror and inside of the case. Military issued ones will say "property US army" on the same locations

Great pickup, Chris!! I recently came across one in an antique mall. Unfortunately, the seller didn't have a price listed on it, so I couldn't purchase it. I'll go back to see what the price is. I actually have the civilian set and the actual military issued one. Both razors in the sets are in very good condition. I have an additional army razor by itself. But the one I picked up years ago at a thrift store for just $20!!, was the Navy set with mirror, razor, and blade bank!! Those are ultra rare! The razor is in a blueish, gunmetal color! Even Matt from Razor Emporium is jealous that I acquired that one! You received a good price considering what they want on eBay! I am on vacation this week, so I'll check back for that one i mentioned. Anytime you come across one in an antique store, purchase it. They are scarce finds. Thanks so much for sharing your acquisition! Enjoy it!! P.S. Yours is a civilian set. The military ones have "property of US army" stamped on underside of baseplate and on the writing on the case. Your mirror is civilian, case is army property.

@CDinVT Hey Chris! I did go back and purchase that set. The seller had it for $32. It came with blade bank, the mirror, and one thumbtack! I had a feeling it would still be there. It was closed up, so most people wouldn't know what it was.
