Gillette labs heated razor Review - Honest and non-sponsored review of the Gillette Labs heated razor. I have used this razor over the last 6 months along with other razors I was trying as well. A full review which is my humble opinion.

It’s been over 3 years, works perfectly fine and is my favourite cartridge razor for cold days which is like 8 months here. Pretty sure they will cover it under warranty for 12m or 24m in Australia atleast from Consumer law.

@@AP-qu8sl It’s a great razor bud. Take care of it like anything else and it should last. Pro-tip, look up carts for Gillette labs (exfoliating bar) on Amazon for refills. They are the same carts and go on specials, that’s when you want to bulk order carts ✌🏼😎

Lloyd, Mine works fine bud am HS it’s been well over a year. They should be covered under warranty for 2 years as per consumer law. If mine stops working, I would honestly report and ask for a replacement.

when the recharging batteries run down or leak over time down it will stop working im sure. running DE under hot water you get a warm razor

@Hassy G Year and half and it’s still working as well as it did. I’m sure it will deteriorate overtime but it’s not the same as running blades under hot water. You notice the temperature drop as you run the pass whereas this razor has that nice consist warmth. I honestly appreciate this Razor. It’s not the best bang for buck though.

@@allydz for the price it needs vibrate. which they will prob do with next model. the exfoliating one which is same blades doesn't catch all my hairs. battery will eventually go on this heated razor..it wont be a collectors piece if its sealed unit

For sensitive skin, apart of the skinguard, what gillette model do you recomend me?

I would use the traditional DE razor with a good quality soap. Look into my reviews for Rockwell, King C Gillette and Edwin Jagger. Takes some practise and going easy initially, most people don’t touch carts after 😂, but I use both styles

@@juanfor3182 Of course yes. Prosheild is one of my favourites. Experiment with a few different things my man, you will find something/s work very well.

Wow! I will suggest you something super unusual: Just stop using man’s and start using female’s 5 blade systems - any brand. It’s pure magic how better they are on sensitive skin.

To get the shave I desire I heat water to 70 C. I dip my razor in for 5 sec, do for or five strokes and repeat. All the bad things you said about this method are correct. With a gillette razor I am good for two shaves and the lube is shot. The blades are maybe good for one more. With a schick quottro razor: five shaves. The shaves are good but it takes me 1/2 hour. And the first two strokes are not pleasant. I am going to try the heated razor. If it works I will be as happy as a pig in shit! Thanks for this great video.

Hey bud, thank u. Speaking of the first 2 strokes, if the beard growth is more than 2-3 days and you shave with any cartridge razor, the tugging will cause the uneasiness. If that is the case and you do t shave every 2-3 days, I recommend trimming the beard down as low as possible and then shaving. Alternatively, safety razors are great to take down a weeks worth growth and give me no issues. Personally, the heated razor is my favourite and it’s great. I hope it works for you. Hope that helps.

I have used it every now and then and it’s definitely been an enjoyable shave. I have now moved to safety razors as my daily driver. Cartridge when I’m travelling and the heated razor when I feel fancy. Just bare in mind the ongoing cart costs are really up there with it, which is the only down side. Shave quality and experience; I cannot fault.
