Hey Paul great mid week shave. I've been wet shaving now for over 3 years and haven't looked back to the cartridge razors. I shave twice during the week and once on the weekend. I look forward to my shaves every time. It's my way of unwinding. Please let Mrs H know the flowers are lovely. Take care

Hi Paul, greetings from Texas! My SOTD: 1973 Gillette Super Speed from England (Blue handle) with a Wilkinson Sword ‐ Gillette blade, 3rd use. Used a vintage Avon brush and bowl with Mitchell's Wool fat soap, 3 passes +. The soap dissipates for me but is very slick. Gentleman Jon alum, Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, Lucky Tiger after shave followed by Cremo after shave balm finished the shave. Good shave!

Excellent shave Paul💈🪒 Those Wilkinson Sword blades made in England are legendary, hard to get and expensive if found. They're kinda like Personna 74 blades, a real jewel if acquired. Beautiful display of color today, just stunning, thanks Mrs H. SOTD: PAA Cube, Chiseled Face "Summer storm" soap/splash/EDP, Grizzly Bay custom badger brush, Rockwell 6S w/Nacet blade, alum, witch hazel and 5in1 balm to finish...fantastic. Bravo Paul! It has been a while since I last commented, but allow me to observe that your shaves continue to be first class in every regard, and by the way, I concur with Mrs. H and you, that the neck brace should "go." She is quite correct in her suggestion. Her flowers continue to please everyone and Sir Winston, would drop everything and reach for his paint brush (at least two times each week). The Old Spice Scent is just amazing; we all love it and it delivers memories for any of us old enough to recall the original product. I hope that all is well with you...certainly enjoying your channel success vicariously. As always, thanks for sharing your hobby with all of us. Largely because of what I learned from you, I enjoy excellent shaves nearly every day. The Slim has always been my favorite adjustable, since I can set it to perform to perfection with nearly every blade I own. Recently I began using an adjustable Aristocrat (Gold Slim) that is the pride of my shave rotation. The Slim is very forgiving. If the shave angle isn't perfect so the cap edge, blade and bar aren't perfectly aligned, it will still shave well, unlike my Goodwill, that bites severely if the shave angle isn't perfect. And, yes, it's a good idea to open the doors slightly before turning the adjustment dial. Those "others" can do as they please with their own razors, but need refrain from passing on bad advice.

Good morning Paul!!! Fantastic shave!!! Great choices for your midweek shave, and a beautiful display by Mrs H. My SOTD will be the Gillette Super Adjustable 84 with a Gillette Platinum blade, Simpson Chubby 2 Badger Brush, PAA Cube 2.0, PAA Twee soap and aftershave, with some Nivea cooling lotion to finish the shave. Meal of the day will be some homemade pizzas in the pizza oven with some Caesar salad and some garlic bread. Have a wonderful day and stay safe!!!!

Yes! I’ve been using my straight razors, I switch ever couple weeks or so from SAFETY RAZOR TO TRADITIONAL STRAIGHTS and I’ve been using a lot of my aquatic spring/summer type scents! Just got a few 345 soaps in from a trade: shark bite and shipwreck But on deck I’m going to use my chiseled Face summer storm. It’s a rain scent. Literally smells just like wet rain

Cannot argue with a Slim adjustable shave. Still the best all around razor ever manufactured imho, not to mention it's still the coolest looking also. I just emailed Douglas Smythe at PAA requesting he make a cologne based on the classic Palmolive shave stick scent.

Good evening Paul! Tell Mrs. H I am really enjoying the flowers please. The Wilkinson Sword NEW blade is working well for you. I am happy you have gotten to 9 uses and I think it should make it to 10 uses. I have gotten 14 uses out of those before. To your nose does the Cold Spices smell close to Old Spice? My shaves have been fairly standard since I have been going to my job: Gillette Heritage razor loaded with a nice blade. I have been using Stirling Barbershop shave soap pair with modern Old Spice aftershave. Managed to get 16 shaves out of a Gillette Rubie Platinum blade. Good shave Paul Sorry I have been so absent. Hi Paul I recently found a DE blade that offers similar performance to your vintage Wilkinson DE. It is the Dorco Prime DE. I have had (6) 3-4 pass shaves so far and still working well. Very smooth and comfortable still. I'm using as long as it remains a performer. Can't hardly believe this.

Hi Paul, If I'm not mistaken, all the Gillette tto razors have to be loosened in order to take the pressure off the mechanism inside. The modern tto's suck as the Red Ambassador or the Rockwell can be adjusted without doing so. Great shave!

One of the things I like about DE razor blades, is the value for money. I bought a 100 pack about 6 months ago and I haven’t even got trough a quarter of them yet.

Hi Paul, I had my second shave with my Rockwell 6S. First shave was with the 6 plate and a Rockwell blade. Tonight I used the 4 plate and a Voskhod blade. It's an amazing razor.

Morning Paul. Great mid week shave. Today I used my Gillette Slim Adjustable also with a Gillette Platinum blade. I agree that you should release the pressure on the razor before making an adjustment. I used Razorock XXX Soap and after shave. Great floral display Mrs H. Enjoy the rest of your week and be safe.

Great great shave. Cold spice is one of my favorites. I ordered a new container of cold spice just last week. Along with several samples of other products from paa. So my sotd will be their cad soap which i fine wonderful. And the aftershave be will be dapper doc. A wonderful lilac and fig scented after shave. My wife loved it. You and mrs h have a great week

Hi Paul, My shave of the day was with a Thiers issard 5/8 straight razor and Filslade La rosée du printemps soap and after-shave (made by Le Père Lucien for the formula). Great scent for Spring :)

...about the shaving soap...perhaps there is a bit of eucaliptus oil in the formula? Similar to spearmint, camphor or menthol, this would have a "cooling" effect without being too "minty"...just a thought...

Have to say Cold Spices is hands down better than the current Old Spice. I like it even more than the old Shulton, and it lasts all day, too. Cold Spices is my #2 . The only one for me that nudges it from #1 is Atmotic. For me nothing can touch it, and it lasts all day...sometimes into the next day too. Everything from PAA is 100

My favourite is the Fatboy always reminds me of my Grandfather. Sometimes I use a feather blade on its 2nd use and use the fatboy on setting 9 and gives me a bbd

How do they compare to the titans, I normally use feathers or Astra SPs. I have a bunch of Dorco Titans which I use from time to time

@@mroldbean2 I have never used the Titans. To be honest, although I have been wet-shaving for 45 years or so I am kind of new to this type of razors so I have not tried much else. All I can tell you about the Dorco Prime blades is that they do a good job for me. :)
