Mrs. H is as always the star of the show. I have Trumper's coconut. A mild and pleasant scent. I have never had a bad shave from my slim. Dinner sounds delicious.

Beautiful display by Mrs H!!! Great choices for your Sunday shave Paul!! I went back to the basics for my Sunday shave. My SOTD will be the Gillette Super Speed with a Gillette Spoiler blade, Edwin Jagger Badger Brush, Palmolive Shave Stick, Aqua Velva Ice Blue Aftershave, and Nivea Men’s cooling lotion to finish the shave. Meal of the day will be some Crab Cakes with some dirty rice, mixed green salad, sweet corn, and fried green tomatoes. Have a wonderful day and stay safe!!!

I got to thinking when you said it was weird shaving an extra day. People have commented at work about me shaving every day and how that must take will power. To be honest in this hobby I think it takes more will power to go a couple days without! 😆 Starting this next week I’m going to go with only 3 days a week. 😊 Great shave as always Paul!

Nicely done Paul💈💈 A vintage Gillette shave is always a royal choice, super performance from a 60yr old tool. TOBS cream hard or soft still a good lather. Yep, Personna Red blades are a go to for me as well. A rose by any other name.. Mrs H can surely brighten up the day with color, thanks. SOTD: Stirling Glacial pre-shave soap, Stirling Glacial Spearmint soap/splash, Wolf Whiskers custom badger brush, Timeless SS Scalloped razor w/Swede blade, alum, witch hazel and Stirling Glacial balm to finish...Stellar. Hi Paul, greetings from Texas! My SOTD was TOBS No. 50, using my Fatboy on #6 with Voshkod blade, 4th and final use. 3 passes plus pickups. Osma alum block, always. Lemon Thayers witch hazel. Fine Orange Noir after shave; finished with Cremo, post shave balm. I often struggle with which fragrances go together. Forgot the brush....a synthetic brush that I replaced the knot in a cheap handle. First brush I ever owned, I just didn't want to throw it away, so I changed out the knot. Regards.

Great shave. My SOTD will be of the King C Gillette razor with a Gillette Platinum blade, Wholly Kaw Sandhurst soap, Omega 10066 brush, and the Family Dollar Old Spice aftershave knockoff. Hi Paul, nice shave as usual and a verry pleasant display by Mrs.H as always. I also like the TOBS shaving creams. They provide a rich and thick lather and the scents..... My sotd was: Razorock Puros shaving soap, lathered up in the face with Yaqi Rainbow 26mm, Wilkinson Classic tto, Astra Superior Platinum, Witch Hazel, Arko classic cream and Razorock Puros Aftershave. Motd will be: precocked potatos in some chickenstock, onions and carrots and chickenbreast with the skin on, layered in a cast iron pot and baked in the oven. I'll open the lid for the last 10 - 15 minutes, to get the skin nice and crispy. Hmmmmm

Yes, it is critical to open the bay doors before operating the adjustment knob on a Gillette Slim or Fat Boy. There is a 1/4 turn lock down feature on these razors which is intended to keep the razor locked at it's setting. Attempting to force a change in the setting while the bay doors are locked down is not a good idea. Doing so will cause wear on the delicate internal parts of the razor, and may damage it... The best practice is to open the bay doors in order to adjust the setting dial, and then locking it down again. When properly operated and cared for, these razors will last for several generations.

Morning Paul. SOTD started out with Futur on one side and the PAA DOC on the other. Caties Bubbles Royal Garden and the Amber Aerolight. After the 2nd pass just went with the Futur as it was not a fair fight. BBS as usual. Great razor. Menthol witch hazel, Nivea balm, and Clubman. How do you distinguish between blade chatter and feedback 🤔 ?

I've been eyeing an I3 Slim on eBay - it would be my "birth razor" but the price is a bit rich, esp for the condition. I recently picked up a Black Beauty in better shape for a lot less. Still, the Slim definitely has my attention - they seem like fine razors.

I just got an 87R and accidentally knocked it to the floor right before starting my first shave with it. It slightly damaged the TTO mechanism, as one door doesn't open all the way.

It's the same with dialects and pronunciations everywhere. For me in Croatia every village emphasizes the words differently. And in some areas I don't understand anything. It is easier for me to understand English, although I am not very good at it.

@@PaulHFilms As far as accents go, I grew up in Newfoundland, which was largely settled by fishermen from the West of England and Ireland. A lot of us use "me" for "my" - and the accents vary from community to community. Some are so thick I couldn't understand them when I lived there. And we have so many words and phrases - or unique uses for common terms - that we have our own thick dictionary (compiled by linguists).

That’s great, I would suggest getting a sample pack of multi brand blades, so you can choose which blade works best for you and your brother, blades can be so different to each of us , enjoy the razor.

Paul, Great shave. Just to pick you up on something you said regarding Me and I question. Local dialects of English are just variations of English, the queens English or what you call proper English as Jordy,, scouser, West Country etc they are just the same variations of English, there’s no such thing as proper English. I’m from the West Country and people think we’re thick carrot crunchers. 😂 It’s all tribal.
