🙏 Gillian I love that you give the history of the KZbin algorithm. 🥰One thing that I would recommend after testing it on one of my videos (that has almost 6 million views) is that over the past decade I've tested the tags section and when I put in similar tags it ranks on the first page of Google usually in the first or second place and when I change up those tags to more generic tags it drops completely to another page. I've tested this over and over and every time I put in a couple of the same tags with different endings on then this makes a big difference. Anyway I hope that helps. Big hugs 🤗💖

Choosing the keywords and planning your video around the keywords is in my opinion what sets apart an amateur KZbinr from someone who is doing it professionally. You need some proof of concept before you sit down to script, record, edit, and upload a video. If you can’t compete or you are not competent enough to talk about the subject matter, it will be a waste of time to make the video. I’ve wasted a lot of time making videos I wanted to make. Now I think about it in terms of what videos that need to be made. How can I provide value to people with the information I have?

Wow, this video was super helpful! I had no idea how important click-through rate is for getting my videos seen. I loved the tip about adding brackets or parentheses to the titles-it seems so simple but could really boost clicks! I also learned that KZbin cares about what we say in our videos even more than tags. That makes sense since they auto-caption everything. And the idea of using social proof by engaging with my own videos is kind of sneaky but smart. I can’t wait to try these tips out! Thanks for sharing such great insights!

Previously we were making video's on pretty much whatever we happened to be doing on the homestead. We are going to keep doing that, but now make sure to research the keywords a bit before hand, and make sure the video is relevant. IE, since we are starting a bunch of seeds right now for the garden, make sure we cover best way to start seeds and do's and don'ts of seed starting

Hello. I have a basic question. Why do some channels grow faster than others? For example, the channels (Magenture Coloring Show) and (Rainbow colors) grew faster than my channel. We almost started together. I upload daily. I do almost everything. But I have very few visits. I know the quality of my videos is not very good and it is not like these two channels. Thank you so much for your video. I actually have an important question regarding this topic. If a video has been up for a while and I find great keywords months or years later, how can I change the title and description without any bad consequences from the search algorithm. 2 years ago, I tried I went through about 500 of my past videos and improved the keywords exactly as this video explained. For a short time, like 3 months, the channel's statistics practically crashed. They all decreased by like 20-30%. It took a few months to come back and start improving. In fact, 2 years later, my most popular video really needed a change to the thumbnail, title, and description just by 1 word. When I did that, the whole channel sank. All watch time, views and subscribers went way down. You can clearly see on my graphs the moment I did both. I would like to benefit from improved keywords without this negative consequence or punishment. I’m really trying to make it more genuine and fit better for the searcher and the viewer. Sometimes I don’t think of the great keyword until well after the video is published. What can be done to help in this situation? I would be willing to pay for professional consultation if I can get this answer. My channel is purely a helpful free education channel, and its content is really necessary and helpful. I would appreciate any help you can give. -Mark
