The lining of the pockets is synthetic leather (not real leather). Also, Filofax personal size has smaller 23mm rings than the medium Compagna. Another difference between slim & medium is that because the slim is narrower, most "side tab" dividers will stick out. Top tab works better with the slim.

Also, the rings on the slim & the pocket sizes are not quite the same. Pocket has 15mm, slim has 14mm.
