Hey Guys! Welcome to my channel, my name is Mariyea Monay and I am obsessed with everything planning! Ever since I was a child I looked forward to school supplies shopping every year! I had a planner all throughout my primary school years! Then, in early 2017 I discovered binder planning. It wasn't for me at the time and I strayed away from it, but now I have re-discovered my passion for planning with Erin Condren! One of the reasons I love VDS over Gillio besides the leather feel and quality is the ability to custom and adjust the strap length and add a 2nd popper.

Yeah I liked the customization options but it just seemed so much more expensive for the littlest alterations… however I do think they will be my next luxury cover purchase! 😬❤️❤️

When I got my Gillio Slim Compagna in Croc Eye Blue, I wasn’t sure how I felt either? Like I felt like the color was different from the picture and tbh I got it off eBay and it didn’t smell like leather lol so I was scared it was a fake but after moving in and using it I began to LOVE it. Like I fell so hard in love with it lol. I bought a VDS that won’t be here for like a couple months and I feel like I am cheating on my Gillio. So, I totally understand how you feel when you open something and it’s jot exactly how you thought it would be. Sometimes you just have to use it for a little bit and you either fall in love or you realize it’s not for you. I think it’s sooooo beautiful and I hope you love love love it!!!

She looks so beautiful! I would love to get either a Gillio or a VDS but I'm honestly really worried I'm not going to love it and for the money they cost, I absolutely need to love it. I mean I know I can resell it but that's not the purpose you know? So I'm nervous. Plus colours in videos and screenshots don't always look like what you end up with. Idk maybe I'm overthinking 😭 Anyway yours is gorgeous 😍 And you're lowkey kinda making me think about that dune moterm as well lol 🤔

I feel like it’s also hard when you have been imagining something for so long and now have all these expectations… 😬 I personally need time before I can say either way but I will say it’s growing on me and it definitely feels different from my Moterm’s! I would definitely recommend the Dune! It’s such a beautiful color plus I love their veg tan collection!!! ❤️

omgosh so exciting congrats !! really something you don't forget is the first luxury planner purchases hehe I think shes a beauty !! i can kind of tell in your voice though that you aren't totally satisfied with it and it's not everything you thought it would be (please correct me if im wrong!!!) I recently bought a gillio undyed amica, and gillio yellow medium compagna, and they are great of course but honestly i thought they would be better. like you said its not as squishy as you thought (my amica is second hand and its still not very squishy but i love the pocket configuration and the fact it has no back pocket) but also the leather isn't as smooth on either as i thought it would be :S but for xmas my fiance ordered me a custom VDS in undyed, and it truly is everything i expected the planner to be and more, its squishy, so incredibly soft, the color isn't orangey at all it looks true nude, and being able to have those little customizations makes it that much better. They are incredibly expensive for sure but if, personally, i have a choice now between gillio and vds, after experiencing the planners i have, VDS wins all the way. but of course everything is personal preference!!! i would suggest you try a vds next though if you are wanting to sell and get another luxury planner, sorry for the book hahaha and of course do whateverrrr you want anything you choose will be fabulous and i cant wait to see what you do in the future love your videos !!!

Ahh this is so sweet and kind of you to say! 💕 I definitely think I had a certain vision in my head of how the Gillio would be and I think that was my first mistake… I’m not necessarily unhappy with it but it’s also different than what I expected! I’m going to give it a try because this was my first impression with my Moterm Dune as well and I ended up loving it! I just honestly think I’m the type of person who needs to experience my covers before I can say for sure or not whether I’m in love yanno? I really appreciate your take and was definitely in between Gillio or ordering a custom VDS in Janet undyed!!! 👀 There’s a few things that turned me off of VDS but I’m thinking it’ll be my next luxury purchase whenever that will be! 😅❤️

I definitely prefer VDS. There’s some gillios I like but really if they are having a sale or I find a great deal preloved because otherwise I don’t think they are worth the price tag when I can get a Moterm etc for so much less and they feel pretty much the same with similar layouts. But my VDS I adore.

This is probably going to sound crazy but I have always used a Happy Planner or Home Planner. I really wasn't even sure I would be interested in doing this type of a planner set up. But after watching your video, I think I am wanting to give it a try. I watched another girl who stated you helped her pick her yellow personal rings which I loved. Where would I find these type of planners. I looked on Amazon but did not see these exact ones. And what are some of the resources you use to fill it up. I think I am a bit OCD and like my things the way I like them so I know what will work for me. Getting to choose what I want in it is very appealing. I also watched some videos that stated there are even freebies out there for inserts. Any suggestions where to start? Thanks!! Great video by the way!! Make me feeling motivated to do it!

Oh I love this, not crazy at all!!! 😍❤️ I’m sorry it took me so long to respond, I’m just now seeing it! ❤️‍🩹 So I believe the planner you saw was from Print Pression’s which unfortunately is no longer carrying them as of right now. My best suggestion for a good starter cover would be Moterm which can be found on Amazon or some other brand on there. I definitely get what you mean, I’m super OCD about my inserts and planners too and feel rings is a great system to calm that! For freebies I would start with Peanuts Planner Co and Plan with Bee! They have tons to choose from! There’s a lot of people on instagram who share a bunch as well, I’ve set up entire binders on freebies alone so definitely look for those!
