Today I used the mont marte pre made pouring paints as described in my video
Acrylic pouring: Fluid art
My pouring medium used for my usual work is a pre mix of 70% “Mont marte clear craft glue and 30% warm water, if in the USA Elmer’s glue all works well (most pva glues can be made up with same ratios to make a pouring medium), I add my pouring medium to my paint slowly until I achieve the consistency of pouring cream, approximately 50/50 more pm if needed, not all paint brands go well with this pouring medium, so just test out.
paint brands mostly used are the Mont marte studio acrylics, dimensions, or pouring paints, Boom Gel stain.
I Certainly explore different brands and mediums, it’s all part of the learning process.
When iv mixed my paints I add 2-4 drops maximum of Helmar silicone, also Australian made, I stir in well.
I always like to mix up my paints and add silicone the day before I’m going to paint, and cover with a damp cloth, as I have found I have much better results.

Great idea..stacking the jars. Here are some of the things I do with the jars: - flower vases - center pieces at church meals. - pen/pencil holders for the office. - if they gave metal lids (sauce jars) cut a slot on the lid and use on the dresser for loose change or piggy banks for the kids. - give them away as gifts full of 🍬 and/or cookies.

Gilly what an amazing result. At first i thought you had lost all of the other colours but when you came back to it they were all there underneath. I love the lid too. Very pretty. Gilly when you use your spirit level to get the jar straight use it both ways, side to side and front to back. I'm pretty sure that's why it started pouring over the one edge first. Can't wait to see more and know how you manage to get the little jar off the top!! Stay safe and stay well. Shirley. X

Saw some comments on leveling, here's my tip. Use you level to made an X. That way you get the level at center, left, and right, both from and back. The pour came out really good, but would have been great with it leveled properly. Try my tip, works great for me.😉💖

I love this concept! The golds/silver so fine together cascading down that one side... Stunning. Did look like a wedding cake being iced! I'm looking for more of your these type of videos and info, atm. Or anyone you recommend for this... I have a slinking black panther with a shabby paint job. About 30cm long with tail. 15-18cm high (maybe less, in his slinking, semi-crouched, position (I THINK after my recent house move I saved it... Lol) Dogs are scared of it. Plain Ugly. I was thinking of a white undercoat try to hide the ALL black a little, especially on stomach, then a "wiggle" pour, black/grey, white and 2-3 orange tones... hopefully achieving "stripes" of a kind, down the length of his back... add more orange less b&W (extra bit of oranges readyin another cup) at base and length of the tail. 3 colour, less chance of mud on tummy. Have to paint his eyes pale green, my cat, Feryl Meryl's colour, or a bright EMERALD green, maybe the mouth pink/red. Rose Madder. I have a friend who is an artist, she'll help if I need it! It may have helped your angle of the tilt problem if you'd levelled it ALL AFTER adding the jar to the top. 😉 You checked so carefully and re-levelled the main piece then didn't recheck. (So me!! 🤦) I'm also EXTREMELY curious as to how you got the little jar off the top. (Bottom) of the other. I would think fingers (3?) would be best, surest grip, ( Or acrylic grip tongs, kitchen, science lab style), with just enough wet paint on the jar that it would continue down to cover your grip marks. 💜💛💜💛

Beautiful. I'm like some of the other commenters, how did you get the little jar off without making a mess or getting fingerprints all over the jars. Also, next time you do one of these videos, let us know what kind of varnish you use to finish it off. Thank you for so many inspiring ideas. I wish this virus would go away. I can order a lot of things on line, but finding little gems like your pretty jar means getting out to thrift shops and hobby stores. Stay safe and keep sharing. Thank you.

Really lovely Gilly! I know those metallics shine so beautiful when dry! I love the little button? type things you put around the top of the jars. They look fantastic! What actually are they and of course where can I find them please? My hubby likes really bizarre spreads that come in some really unique type jars, that I love to pour paint on, and some even make gorgeous little vases, but I always wonder what I can put on the part where the lids normally screw on. What you used would be perfect. I'm playing catch up on your videos as I wasn't able to get on line for about 5 days. Take care my friend. 😀💜🙋‍♀️🥰🤗💐

When you level you need to level in both directions your jar was tipped a little bit too far forward and that’s why it was only pouring on one side. I also think that you could’ve done without the small jar just because you end up wasting so much paint that way but it’s beautiful
