I had one of these sprinklers for 2 and 1/2 years. It worked okay sometimes and was unresponsive others. After 2 years, it would not oscillate--same problems as described in other reviews. The Gilmore site sent me to Fiskars. Fiskars said it would take three to four weeks to decide my claim. I could not wait until my claim was accepted. So the same day I bought a new Gilmore sprinkler same model as one in review like I had for the past two and a half years. Very hard to adjust. Stopped oscillating properly within the first two days. I will be returning it to store where purchased.

If you use a 3/4 inch hose. Will it spray further? And put out more water?

We had a Nelson triple spray that after years of use finally quit working so we replaced it with this one because it looked similar in adjustability. The Nelson had three levels of spray settings and two levers on the one end which allowed you to pretty much put water exactly where you wanted. At first glance the Gilmore looked like it might do the same thing but that is not the case. Say you want to set the sprinkler right next to a sidewalk and have it spray in a 90 degree angle towards the grass. On the Nelson that was easy, on the Gilmore not so much. The Gilmore has the two sliders so one should go straight up and the other should be set all the way the other way, you then rotate the whole collar so that just that area should get water. The problem, at least with mine is that, as the sprinkler osillates, the main collar also rotates and it sprays all over the place. Granted if the collar didn't move it might work but even on the Gilmore site there never is a good explanation of how it should work. For the longest time I thought I was doing something wrong and have gotten soaked more than once trying to figure out why someone would make something this useless. Don't buy this.

this looks pretty much the same as what i have been using for the last 4 years the GARDENA Comfort Aquazoom Sprinkler it waters all the plants along the sides of my driveway and wont soak cars and i have 2 in a shadehouse nothing wrong with these

The yellow Nelson with turbo oscillation from the 90s was the best. Unfortunately, they're no longer available. Still have mine working after 30 yrs.

I just bought one and I agree, It is extensive junk. The adjuster pretty much sets its self to what it wants to do.

The reviewer should have actually shown the sprinkler running and reviewed how *POORLY* the oscillation control works. When I first used mine with the oscillation controls at full separation, it seemed to work fine, but when I started trying to use it to water only a portion of the garden, it either would oscillate in the wrong direction, or not at all.

Very bad product. Not user friendly. Must be made in China. Works OK on left side. Hangs up, at horizontal, on right side for about 40 seconds before trying to return to the left side.

Same problem as described above - will not oscillate to the right side; hangs up vertically and then returns to the left cycle.. Don't buy this sprinkler..

Bought one today before reading these reviews. Returning tomorrow. Will not oscillate. Went to Gilmour site for help. All instructions provided are for "full, left, right" models. Mine has only + and - symbols; tried several combinations. Still will not oscillate. Problem is not water pressure as tripod unit works just fine.

Please don't perches this sprinkler it is expensive junk. The adjuster is horrible.
