Here’s an easy way to look at it: if Gil’s Arena (the actual, physical set) was divided into two halves - A and B (which represents, for the sake of this simplification, two channels - Cable/Traditional TV and Streaming), and there were 10 persons on the show equally divided across each half, if 3 persons moved from A (Cable) to B (Streaming), would it be reasonable to assume that there were now fewer persons on the show? Nope. “Ratings are down” is a misnomer because it fails to account fully for viewership outside the NBA’s currently-used metrics. It’s pretty hard to gauge accurately.
