With its 3600 sonic pulses per minute creating a vertically oscillating air column, and its innovative and programable vertical and horizontal tapping actions, the Gilson GA-8 GilSonic UltraSiever ensures the maximum number of passing opportunities to deliver sharp, repeatable particle separations of fine dry powders and granular materials.
The Extended Vertical Tapping function provides greater up-and-down agitation while the horizontal tappers can be individually actuated for specific sieves to assure maximum movement of hard to separate materials and to reduce bothersome sample clumping.
The UltraSiever has an easy-to-use control panel that regulates vibration amplitude, ramp and dwell, test time, and tapping action, as well as ten fully customizable profiles, to assure reproducible test results.
With a recommended particle size range from a quarter of an inch (6.3mm) to no. 635 (20µm) with woven wire sieves, or 150 microns to 5 microns with precision electroformed sieves, the GA-8 will hold up to seven 8 inch (203mm) full-height sieves. (Acrylic Spacers are required when using less than seven sieves) (Test sieves purchased separately).
Components for the sieve stack assembly are supplied with the Gilsonic UltraSiever and include a top and bottom latex diaphragm, sieve stack adapters that seals the sieve column, and polyurethane sieve gaskets that help maintain maximum sonic efficiency. And the clear Laxen (TM) full-width doors enclose the testing chamber to contain airborne particles, protecting lab personnel from dust inhalation and making clean up easier.
