This is easily the best area in Dream Team. (Spoiler warning if you don't know the complete story of Dream Team) The music does a good job of what to expect, a silent and creepy forest which to me is something the last 3 games should've done with their forests. The place is pretty much an ancient ruins so there's a whole lot of enemies and as you go through you are met with the enemy called an Eyepi'illo which attacks an obvious intruder being both Mario & Luigi making you feel as unwanted as possible. When you finally do reach your destination which is the Pi'illo temple, the boss Pi'illodium emerges which is a defense weapon created in the Pi'illo Kingdom era which protected the temple. It then fights Mario & Luigi obviously seeing them as intruders and goes as far as to self destruct just to get rid of the intruders. This really does a good job of showing what Somnon Woods wants you to expect.

Pi’illodium takes control of the Pi’illo temple, and begins attacking Somnom Woods!! Leaving Antasma to give Bedsmith community service even though Mario and Luigi were in the Pi’illo Temple the whole fucking time and were responsible for everything! Gragh! I hate this game!

I really don't know what to say about this, this area is just gorgeous. I love the trees and dark forest kind of areas in Mario games. Like the Gloomy Woods, Forest Maze, or that underground area in the Steam Gardens from Odyssey. Plus I mean, Bedsmith lives here. Total win win, amazing music, amazing characters. Don't forget the Boomerang Bros. and other inhabitants of the Somnom Woods.

Too be fair, BiS is vastly more popular mainly because of its world building, the story progression, fighting styles, even the characters interacting with each other feels so natural, dont get md wrong Dream Team is just as great of a game, and the music is definitely is on par, but when people think of the Mario and Luigi Rpg games, they almost always lean back on BiS.

I love how this area feels like it's not just undeveloped for tourists but downright frontier wilderness. It's entirely uninhabited except for enemies and Nomnoms. Bedsmith's shop at the beginning is the last outpost of civilization before you enter the deep unexplored wilderness. This is the one area of the game with no item shops whatsoever. Then at the end you each the highlands, which are likely just outside of the eastern side of Mount Pajamaja, and then fight Pi'ilodium in the temple that feels like an amphitheater. Then you set down the Utilibed that Bedsmith built for you and begin your quest for the Zeekeeper, sleeping soundly while entering the dreamy version of Somnom woods, which also has no item shops.

Dream Team was incredible, probably my favorite in the series, besides Partners In Time. The whole dreamy world and aesthetic was amazing. I haven't played this game in years, because the replaying the tutorials was so repetitive, need to do a whole series replay!

I love this place. It has amazing mysterious music, cool puzzles, the Nommons, (The Nommons are so cute, they're just the children of the forest.) The atmosphere, it's so good. The only thing I dislike about it is the FRICKIN BEEHOSS. THEY SPIT OUT BEES ALMOST EVERY TIME YOU ATTACK THEM, THEY'RE SPIKY SO YOU CAN'T JUMP ON THEM, AND IF YOU KILL A SINGLE BEE, THEY COME BACK AND STING YOU. Screw Beehoss.

This theme gives me such a weird feeling. As a kid when I first heard it I felt...mystery and confusion inside me, I felt like I was lost and scared, which is something that I don't feel often with Mario games. I think the maze system of this level made me feel those emotions even more, but still to this day, when I listen to it, these emotions are still here.
