A Michaelangelo of our ages, a supremely talented visionary artist with masterful skill and a humbleness to match. He unrelentlessly shared his talent with the world through his exhibitions that opened and inspired millions through his magical brush strokes and immense imagination. Never in our lives will we experience this kind of artistic talent again at this scale and level. His work and illustrations will live on forever through time; they will be studied, discussed, collected, and talked about for centuries ! May you RIParadise, Master Kim Jung-Gi, illustrator extraodinaire !!

I don't know how to say exactly what I want to say in english, so let me say it in spanish. Me parece sencillamente impresionante.

Translation: He is one of the best draftsman that I've seen in my life, outside of art books. The capacity for creating figures in various poses, with such different anatomy, the quality of the strokes, and how every line transmits movement and play's in favor of the drawing itself. The simplicity of the technique and in turn the complexity of the drawing. I find it simply impressive.

Please note - this man, Kim Jung Gi, is now 39, and entered art school when he was 19. Calling his art a "gift" is insulting, he draws like that thanks to 20 years ( ! ) of constant hard work. What you're seeing is the ultimate proof that working hard and constant practice pays off. Personally as an artist, this is the ultimate motivational video to me, since it makes me realize that if I practice enough, I might be a fraction as badass as this guy - then it all would be worth it.
@brucek88719 жыл бұрын
shinobody It is true that basically anyone could become pro-level at art if they work hard enough. It is a skill like any other that can be taught and learned, with enough practice. However, KJG is not simply pro-level, he is a "once in a generation" prodigy. His mind is simply wired perfectly to do this sort of thing, in a way that almost nobody else can equal.
@Xqrement9 жыл бұрын
+shinburner Spot on thoughts :) And this applies not just for drawing and art, but it also applies to those who want to be scientists, doctors, engineers, architects, sports, craftspeople, etc, etc. The key is to practice and being persistent and not give up.

I see a lot of whining here, just like I did before. But do you guys see? He got even better than what he was before, like 2~3 years ago. Clearly he is moving forward, even though to normal eyes (like mine) there is no competition or goal to aim further, he is moving forward, toward 'something'. I don't know. I haven't drawn for a while and it made me more objective. But I'd rather thank he exists and does what he does than feeling helplessly overwhelmed. After all, drawing is drawing. What's more important is what you say with what you draw. ( I think.) He's the best what we got so far. I thank that I can watch he draws.
