Really like the idea of using Photo Mount in place of roughing balm. Can see a lot of other places where that is going to be useful.

An another possibility instead of 3M mount spray, is a little piece of Scotch Magic Tape and one short stroke of Pritt Non-Permanent Roller on top of it. Without the tape, the roller doesn’t work on cards. The advantage of tape is the possibily to remove it. I align the tape with the horizon of the rider and cut a halfcircle out, following the circle. The tape is pretty thin, so a very light pressure on the cutter suffices to cut the tape without cutting in the card.

Influence is a genius of a routine! So I put a deck together. What I found out, however, is that as good a routine as it is, for me as a table-to-table worker it is a one trick pony. It is great if you are only going to do one performance of it, but if you are going to be doing multiple performances in the same setting it is way too tedious and time consuming to reset. You have to go through each card in the deck to separate the double cards and then you have to place the double cards back in the proper numerical order within the deck. Takes way too much time, but still a great routine!

Do you think the Photo mount will be better than our old friend Roughing Balm? I am concerned that Photo mount will harden over time and be firm just at the time you pull the pack out from your pocket. Any thoughts before I go ahead and use my blank pack? The website says; “ Spray Mount can be repositioned for up to 12 hours when the adhesive has only been applied to one surface you wish to bond, and up to 2 hours when it has been applied to both surfaces being stuck together. Once dry, the glue forms a secure, long-lasting bond that will not brittle with age.”

Love the "blank deck' aspect. Going into my routine for sure. Curious Pete do you think re-stick glue in a tube would work? Or do you feel the spray has different properties needed to hold and spread as well as last longer on the cards. No worries if your not sure.

Spray is more reliable but stick would work👍👍
