I know this is an odd gripe, but I’m happy to see a new archetype do good that isn’t just anime women, dragons or just big guy based off of something I know knowing about. The art is so creepy and weird, and I think it’s such a good refresher from the more generic art style we’ve been getting. Not to say yugioh art ain’t cool, but this is just so different I like it.

It is important to note that Condolence is a card that can also enable the FTK in several ways like sending Baby or Bisque Doll to the grave in order to activate their effects for protection or sending Rouge Doll which can also enable the FTK if it not disrupted. It is also worth mentioning that all of these effects that protects the Puppets including the Field Spell are not amazing to protect them while on the graveyard. If you can manage to banish Rouge Doll, Fantasix Machinix or even the Rank Up Chaos spell, there are high chances that Gimmick Puppet will be forced to end their combo. Bystials can hurt.

For the OTK with Mansion I have made a step-by-step list so you don't keep messing it up while trying to memorize like I did lol. 1+2) Activate "Mansion" spell, use effect, target " Gimmick Puppet Little Soldier" from your deck. 3) Summon "Little Soldier." 4) Use effect of "Little Soldier", discard "Gimmick Puppet Rouge Doll" 5) Activate Rogue in hand, show "Fantasix" from extra deck make sure its a level 8 monster so you can see "Cattle Scream" in next step. 6) Set "Cattle" and "Rouge" in Defense. 7) XYZ summon "Fantasix" from extra deck with "Cattle" and "Roug 8) Detach "Cattle" from "Fantasix" to obtain "Rank Up" 9) Activate "Rank Up", use on "Fantasix" to summon "Cxyz Fanatix Machinex" 10) "Cxyz Fanatix Machinex" will let you obtain the trap "Service Puppet Play" 11) Activate "Cattle" from Grave, detach "Fantasix" Note - you should at this point have a level 8 Little Soldier, a level 8 Cattle and level 9 Cxyz Machinex on the field. 12) XYZ summon "Puppet of Strings" 13) Activate "Rank Up" from graveyard but NOT "Fantasix" 14) Activate "Puppet of Strings" - detach "Cattle", places counter on "Cxyz Machinex" 15) Now activate "Machinex", detach "Rouge" to summon "Cattle" on opponents field. DONT activate "Machinex" First attack deals 3100 damage: 16) Activate "Rank Up", use it on "Puppet of Strings" XYZ summon "Dark Strings", Chain "Fantasix" from GY to your field. 17) Activate "Dark Strings" to place counter on opponents "Cattle". Detach "Little Soldier" Second attack deals 2000 damage: 18) Activate "Rank Up", use on "Fantasix", summon another "Dark Strings" 19) Activate "Mansion" field spell, detach 1 material from "Dark Strings" that was placed first Note - Now summon "Puppet Strings" from GY - otherwise, you can't do the 3rd and final blow. Final attack deals 3300 damage: 20) Activate "Dark Strings" to place a counter on opponents "Puppet Strings" 21) Link summon "Chimera Doll" 22) Use effect and select "Terror Baby", press no on "Terror Baby" special summon. Normal summon "Terror Baby" 23) Use "Terror Baby" to resurrect "Dark Strings" from your graveyard. 24) "Dark Strings" will destroy the opponents monster. You win the duel OTK.

Imho this deck is a bit underrated on md, it's a consistent ftk deck in bo1 and can play around ht if u can setup some protection, also the go2 it's no so horrible since he have op card to play second, i also run droplet to have more probablity to destroy opponent board. I think its a meta deck, maybe t2? What do u think?

For the going second you have cards like Forbidden Droplet which is a good card in this deck. And also, the effect of Condolence that normally let you foolish burial 1 monster can send up to 7 cards to the Graveyard depending how many monsters the opponent has on the field. You can send both Baby and Bisque Doll which will banish themselves to protect Gimmick Puppet. With one of them you cannot answer to Puppets effects, with the other you can't target them. Another relevant aspect of Droplet is the fact that in some hands you will have cards that appreciate being in the graveyard like Dreary Doll and the trap card Service Puppet Play which in certain combo can allow you to kill your opponent during their Draw Phase thanks to Fanatix Machinix effect.

Thanks for the guide but it's a little complicated so there are parts I don't get. After I summon Fantasix and I rry to detach Cattle Scream the game will sometimes prompt me to summon a monster to the opponents field if they used a handtrap. Does that effect anything? Should I be trying to get around that effect so I just get the rank up magic?

It's a blast lol. The field Spell makes it so you don't even care about getting Maxx C'd. There are ways around imperm if they happen to draw into it. Bystials are an issue but there are ways around getting hit by one or even two depending on your extenders. Same with D.D Crow but no one is actively playing that. As long as the field spell is up. It's almost impossible to fail. Without it. Things get harder but are very doable. I started an alt to test the deck and went from Rookie to Diamond in a day and half. Would probably be faster if I had learned the lines faster.

If you’re on a budget, u can get away with 2 or 1, but 3 is of course best. If u pick it up, spend a good amount of time doing test hands in solo mode. The main thing to know is when u can FTK, as many hands can, but the decks when u go for an FTK only to go dark strings pass. U can play more non engine over Horus but the extra extenders and bait means u can get away with worse sequencing while learning. It’s nice when they ash imsetty only for you to drop mansion or rouge after.

Ash Rogue Doll in hand. It's almost always a death blow. They can still burn you and maybe even FTK but they'll need to have enough extenders in hand. Also disrupt the GY if you're able. Especially going second. Where Condolence Puppet can potentially send both Terror and Bisque to the GY. Terror makes it so you can't respond to their effect and Bisque makes them untargetable.

You can do both combos in the same deck, just won a duel where a tear had gamma and ddd crow and banished my rank up but I Had field spell only in hand (if you use resources right you should be able to do get cleo on the field and burn for as much damage as possible, as long as you do 6k you win

I started of playing the Horus engine but the more I played, I realised this deck doesn’t even need it. I just playe droplet, imperm and talents/thrust. Plus, dark strings drawing cards is cracked, u deck thing through the combo then draw into mansion, non engine or an extender.

The Horus package can be good if you are using Gimmick Puppet of Leo. The thing with this engine is that your deck will probably run less handtraps.

Yes. But there are chances that the puppeter commits a mistake and end up not performing the FTK and ending their turn with a not very strong field. It's a mistake to assume that every opponent will play perfectly.

Would nibru or laval golem work. Because I know with nibru it tributes all monster on the board summons a token, would it still work with fanatix effect, because you could use a spell or trap to bring back fanatix to use his effect. Also with laval golem you could tribute summon it to your opponents field and deal damage to it and resummon at the start of your opponents turn to deal more damage with its effect damage. I'm still learing about the new cards so I though I ask about this

The aim of this deck is to FTK, to win on your first turn, Nibiru and Lava Golem are generally turn 2 cards, I wouldn’t use them, yes you’ll he 2nd sometimes, but overall still not worth the turn 1 bricks, you’re better off playing more hand traps if you have room

@@cacak58 if they have Maxx c and you have field spell, just continue with the combo and hopefully you’ll be fine, If they got ash then you need extenders, if you don’t have extenders then you gotta just make the rank 9 that searches the trap and end your turn If they have Maxx c and you don’t have field spell, search the trap and end your turn, the trap can steal monsters, and the rank 9 can pop a monster on special summon

Activating Bisque doll from the GY protects you from targeted negates as well. In the mansion combo if you want to save your 2nd copies of strings you can summon giant hunter to destroy cattle on the opponent's field, or even giant grinder for later if you can afford to special summon it with chimera doll besides terror baby. As a big fan of IV in Zexal and the deck in general way before the insane support it is a dream come true. Even after the 2 strings got hit in other formats understandbly it can FTK but not as consistently. I am glad I can play it to its full potential for one last time.

Gimmicks puppet is among the expensive deck tbh, the most expensive in the selection pack, unlike the other burn deck trickstar. Another problem of gimmicks puppet is it did not play that much negation effect, omninegate negation, 100% depend on handtrap. fit well with artype name GIMMICKS, your gimmick puppet win condition is only via FTK, and nothing else. Fail to do FTK good luck and pray the opponent have no combo play. By the way, single droll and lockbird on gimmicks puppet is guarantee game over for gimmicks puppet player especially if your start combo by activating field spell or using rainbow bridge effects. Well 2 card combo is not weak against droll and lockbird, but this weak the all handtrap. By the way if love to do FTK, but don't want to go invest gimmicks puppet, Superheavy heavy Samurai still can do FTK, using Auroradon, mecha phantom beast Raiten and dark strike fighter, if your have super heavy Samurai complete set

Just pop the field spell or negate the effect of the first xyz summon if they don't have the rank up spell if they do negate the monster they rank up xyz summon or ash the search and add the hand trap that negates call by so your fine incase they have call by the grave
