Eyck is an absolute badass. A lot of people find him annoying, but I love that he has his own code, and acts accordingly, regardless of what the player wants.

They should add some punishment for breaking the oath to make the situation more complex, as any player would choose to break it because it has no negative consequences

There are actually negative consequences later on because one character will leave your party.

Eyck ignoring the oath of hospitality while not providing for his family because he took an oath not to take money from his service makes him a hypocrite

he cares about destroying evil more than anything else. and killing merceneries that torture their slaves seems like vanquishing evil to me

@@GustavoOliveira-xt2pm its called punishment for a crime great or small. as long as gimpy applies it across the board that includes himself i see no problem there.

@@madmanpete "As long as Gimpy applies it across the board, including himself" Don't be a fool, do you really think there's any chance in hell a tyrant is going to cut their own hand off for theft? of course he's a champion of "law and order", the law is whatever he says and the order is whatever he can compel people to do with force of violence. Crimes great and small should have punishments great and small, there's no reasonable way you can justify cutting off a woman's hand and making her husband wear it just for stealing so they wouldn't have to starve. (Especially when he doesn't seem to be having any trouble getting fed himself.)
