Actually, after the reveal, if u go back and watch! Gin was saving Ichigo and his friends! He was just twisting his words and actions so if looked from the outside it looked bad! He was very calculating! More like someone from MHA. When he was introduced, i had chills anytime he talked to someone, but something in him made him one of my top 3 Bleach characters of all time /Matsumoto! They go together 😂

Gin was playing the long game against Aizen, longer than anyone else. Even as a kid he was the first to see Aizen's true nature. He sure is a wild guy, but he had respect for many of his fellows captains and shinigamis, and he truly cared about Rangiku. We didn't see enough of him 😥

a little explanation about gin and rangiku, rangiku had half of her soul stolen by hogyoku, unlike the other victims, she survived and became a lieutenant but was always weaker than the others and could never achieve bankai no matter how much she trained, he loved her since he was a child and hated seeing her suffer, so he planned to take revenge, gin spent years as aizen's follower to kill him and recover part of her soul, at the moment of death he apologizes for not being able to do that and for other things like leaving her alone

12:29 grabbing weapon, or touching the blade seems to be the weakness of all sence-affecting Zanpaktou - go back to soul society arc, when tosen used his bankai vs Kenpachi... Kenpachi won fight, after catching Tosen's blade and getting his sences back. Yamamoto was also sure, where Aizen was, once Aizen stabbed him ;) Same probably went with Shinji... Aizen was able to see clear, when he was cut byt Shinji, and these few moments gave Aizen, what he needed to win against his former captain...

there was some foreshadowing for Gin's betrayal, but my favorite is the name of his sword. Gin's Shikai: Shinso, meaning God's Spear, i.e.. Aizen's Spear as Aizen saw himself as a God, and his Bankai: Kamishini no Yari, or God Killing Spear, i.e. a weapon designed to kill Aizen. Shikai being his first release, represents our first impressions of him, a subordinate of Aizen Bankai being the final release, representing his true intentions of vengeance against Aizen.

Him and Rangiku loved each other. Gin never acted on it because he thought he didn’t deserve her and I forgot why Rangiku didn’t act on it. Aizen took part of her soul. It was said she used to be a genius and Aizen didn’t have the intelligence to pull of what he was going to do. In take that part of her soul that left her at a normal level of intelligence for someone of her caliber.

One of the smaller things about episode 307 I love is Kubo showing what an absolute chad Mizuro is.Not only is he popular with the ladies but the dude is a savage. With no hesitation he saw Aizen as was like, "I'm gonna blow him up!" Kubo hinted at Gin being up to something from the moment he left the Soul Society and he had that sad face when he apologized to Rangiku. Remember when Gin tells Ichigo that he didn't know Aizen fused with the hyougoku? That's likely when Gin knew is plan got kinda fucked and he had to test Ichigo.
