TBH when I was teaching every parent would always say “my child would never” “that’s not their temperament”. Honestly, parents have no idea what the kids are like at school .🤷🏾‍♀️ I would’ve asked the mom for the supposed story again in front of the kids. I’m sure the little girl would’ve been back peddling.

I’m not naive to my child acting up. I actually welcome and encourage teachers to tell me if she’s acting an ass at school..McKinley is just not violent and I’ve never had an experience where someone (teacher, parent or otherwise) has said she is and it’s not my experience at home.

I was just about to say. You would be surprised lol. Nothing wrong with believing your child, on both sides. Kids are kids and typically can sort out their own conflicts. She should've told you immediately after it happened if she wanted to be involved, at least the second time just to make sure everyone is aware and clear. It could be something totally harmless that she took out of context from her daughter.

Firstly, I will be liberating Mel’s tent/circus analogy because period! I also wholeheartedly agree with Mel’s take on the KeKe situation. His intentionality to humble and embarrass her should tell her everything she needs to know. He decided how their relationship would be from now on and Keke obliged. More power to her.

Regarding the KeKe story, I'm in full agreement with Melissa. I hate that being petty is a new goal that a lot of people strive for. At the end of the day, she has to co-parent with that man for the rest of her life. This moment in pop culture will pass.

Since I am older now, I can talk with them about “church” and “people” and how in life there are spaces where people be peopling but we can’t let that stop us from doing what we need to do. It's funny because now I go to church more than my mom does currently, but she was raised in a traditional Black church going on the time. While she has many good memories, she has feelings about gossipy ways in church, but I tell her that's not all churches. You're right, at the end of the day people will be people and there is real "church hurt". I think in general it's good to do spiritual/religious instruction yourself with your kids (which means learning yourself and it can be fun) but also being a part of a community is essential in my opinion.

I’m with Mel on this one 57:16 regarding KeKe Palmer. He literally tried to be petty by doing exactly what she said she doesn’t like by publicly trying to shame her instead of keeping their business private. Women are often made to feel like they have to take a man’s disrespect and stay quiet or take the high road. But because she matched his energy now she is seen as destroying their relationship when he in fact caused the destruction with his Twitter fingers. Who’s to say that after he tried to publicly play her that now she can’t stand to co-parent with HIM. The merch was centered around the words he put out to try to embarrass her. I see no problem with her flipping it into her benefit. And I thought the video was tasteful.
@VictoriousMoe
@VictoriousMoe Жыл бұрын
Agreed! Why not flip his attempted public humiliation, and make money off of it. That’s what a smart business person does. Secrets always comes to light, he was probably toxic and petty way before this incident, so whatever coparenting issues they may have, is not due to Keke’s murch and videos.

During his senior year, our high-school star football player randomly decided to join a group of guys for an armed robbery . He normally didn't do stuff like that, so it was a huge shock to the whole city. He lost everything and went to prison. It was crazy to see such a bright future go down the drain like that. He had regular friends, and his family had enough money. He really had no reason to do it. Just one bad case of wrong place wrong time.

Your mom for the WIN! 😂😂😂😂 I don’t think you failed your kids. It wasn’t a requirement for them to clean or cook when they were small so now it’s not a need for them to think about doing it. They know, mom is going to do it! Cause mom always does it. Now, mom is tired, cause she has to work, take care of self, husband, kids, house, and a dog and she can’t do all things. Don’t get upset, have a family meeting and tell them starting now, you clean your room, bathrooms and every other day Jo will do dishes and Isaiah will do them on the others. Do like Michelle Obama did with the girls, the cleaners won’t be cleaning your rooms, cause you need to clean your own rooms. They will clean everything but your rooms. Pick a day for each boy to wash clothes and cook. It’s not to late to make it a requirement. You are an awesome mom🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

Because he was cheating on her with our school librarian. After i graduated, the assistant principal, that everyone noticed and said was weird azfu*k, was caught and CONVICTED for segx abuooze of a special needs minor😢. The minor wasn't a student from our school though. Foster kid or something. (Intentional misspelling due to cenzer filters)

He was too comfortable with airing his grieves to the world about his Son's mother. Now it's Keke responsible not to meet him with the same energy. Everyone has a breaking point don't know what else was said beyond that internet post. It ain't no fun when the rabbit got the gun. He'll be okay this will pass and hopefully he'll get some therapy.

It may be good lessons of confronting issues and talking things out to have both moms & daughters discuss what was said, and to see if anyone's story changes. I mean if they're that close of friends maybe they can get over it or at least the other girl's mom can since it sounds like the girls have no problems. Also keep monitoring their convos and make you a list of what that girl is doing since that's apparently what her mom does, stockpiles info to bring up later. Seems weird to me.

Polygamy specifically refers to a man having multiple wives. (The female equivalent, having multiple husbands, is polyandry.) Polyamory is (the potential for) multiple relationships for all parties. So this Sister Wives situation (polygamy) is very patriarchal in a way that polyamory shouldn't be.

I’m with Liss on the Keke Palmer situation. I hate that he put them in this situation to begin with & there is a possibility that in the background he’s talking bat shit crazy & we’re only seeing her reactions. But I just don’t prescribe to the school of thought that because he ruined it first she needs to ruin it further, because at the end of the day who’s going to suffer for that? The kid. Sure BD may deserve all that she’s doing but to what end & to who’s detriment? Sometimes we get so caught up in vindication that we lose the plot, and dirty our own hands in the process. Then again who knows, maybe all this goes down & they still somehow down the line find a way to co-parent & he now knows which lines not to cross? That’s possible too, just not likely.

We cant forget the financial benefits cost gets from multiple women. Now he's lost that and that's why he's mad. He thought he could use them as resources without relationship

Now y'all I love you and its real so I gotta be honest. Let's not the argument that church is toxic or the people are trash because alot of places and people are toxic and trash yet we still go to the places and deal with the people. That's why u have to keep your eyes, mind and heart stayed on Jesus not the building or people in it. People will disappoint you everytime.

Basically, Kody and Robyn found each other and he was out…. It just took the others waaaayyyy too long to admit it and step too. Kody is monogamous now.

Please only review sister wives here as Mel is clearly more into the show than the Tanksley’s. Also it gets repetitive when you talk about it on both podcasts.

Kody has NO accountability whatsoever. Robin is delusional, in my opinion. Christine is my girl!!! 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾

Lol usually I agree with Melissa BUT Keke didn’t go too far, because she could’ve went to the ends of the earth. He could’ve addressed her privately but choose to embarrass her on the internet and then the internet embarrassed him 😂😂😂. I think that for the sake of their baby she didn’t do too much and kept it cute

I think we should compare the derek jxn situation and the keke palmer situation. Derek cheated and Keke danced. He went on a tour of interviews and selfie videos. He spoke about and embarrassed his WIFE multiple times. Keke broke up with him, made merch, and shot a video with a legend. Keke hasn't spoken her bd's name. I think we are unfair towards Keke with what she has done(which was nothing) compared to men cheating and the such and how looooong they drag it. Keke could have done far more and deserved to like Mel said.
