Yay! I watched again and paused, did the set up, watched, paused, did the next step, etc., etc. I got it all set up and stamped my poinsettias with NO problems at all! I am tickled pink for this template technique, so thank you, Gina! Also, YES, that template IS reusable! I just put it back in my Misti, lined up the stamps on the stamped vellum, and picked them up with the door of the Misti. Everything lined up again beautifully!! It is now stored in the pocket with my stamps & dies. I'm going to set up one of these templates for all my layering stamp sets. A million long-distance rubber hugs to you!

Thank you so much Gina. I stamped for a whole day trying to line them up and got so frustrated I didn’t want to see another poinsettia. Thanks to you I got the stamp out again and mass produced 24 poinsettias in no time at all. It is fantastic that you take the time to help us use your products and get the most beautiful cards as a result.

Oh my stars Gina, I could kiss you on all four cheeks for this!! 😂 Thank you!!! ❤️ I can't tell you how sad my attempts have been with layering stamps ... to the point I was intending to de-stash the hundreds (and hundreds!) of dollars invested in them, after the New Year. This gives me such hope and I've saved this video to help me remember how it's done. 🤞🏻❣️ Happy Christmas blessings to you and yours. 🎄🌟❤️

Thank you, Gina. I fell in love with this kit because of the poinsettia but I've never been able to get it to layer properly. I so appreciate you taking the time to develop this technique. I am going to try this and hopefully (probably) will find it much easier. Thanks again! You're the best.

Omg. That’s what I tell myself when I don’t take care of even Dollar Tree stuff. I think I don’t deserve nice things. When I throw my dollar bills into the bottom of my purse and they’re not in my wallet, I think about all the people who would take care of them and respect the hard work that it took to get them and how fortunate I am.

When I worked in a bank the first time, I was shown how to "clean" money. I mentally go a bit crazy when I see bills facing different ways, the corners folded, especially if in a money drawer in a store! A friend told me a few years ago that I'm OCD ... had never been told that nor thought of myself as being such. But ... maybe!

The way I got around the layering with this stamp set was to stamp the base layer then the veined layer - that gave me the centre and helped with the other 2 layers.

What a great technique. This awesome. I may invest in some more layering stamps now that I saw this. Also like that the video focused on crafting. I never actually watch the lives live and sometimes find the chatting to be distracting.

Fantastic tip/trick for layering stamps. You're right, I have some from other brands that I haven't been able to get right. Looking forward to trying this. One thing I thought of as I was watching. I have a number of stamp positioning tools, including the mini Misti and a TH Platform. I also have a We R Memory Keepers Advanced Precision press, which is a system rather than a platform given the option of purchasing a number of what they call alignment blocks - that this the plate to attach your stamps too. They are not too outrageously expensive. So, using your system, I can set up the templates, keep them attached to the white backing paper and LEAVE the stamps in place on a separate plate. BOOM! Love it. 🥰

Thank you Gina for this great tip. I think I'll be using the velum guidelines on the stamps for a long time. So I wish I had used a little heavier weight velum. I've already torn them taking off the tape. But I do have to admit that going through this process slowed me down and made me concentrate on really paying attention to lining up the layers. I get impatient with layering stamps and was rushing through too fast. Now that I've taken the time, at least with this first stamp set, the markers on the stamps make perfect sense. I may not need the velum guidelines on all my layering stamps if I just take the time to learn the markers in the first place.

I have a set with 3 or 4 6 layer stamps of roses, I tried to line them up on my WRMK precision press plates so I'd only have to do it once but I'm not sure if I got them placed correctly so I may try this instead.

Looks like it would be much simpler if manufacturers would mark each stamp with a coordinating mark.

It’s just not possible because of the way photopolymer is created.

I am thinking you could select the same location on the white cardstock and non stamping surface of the stamp to put a dot using a permanent marker. Wouldn’t have to redo white cardstock.

Oh, by the way, I forgot to mention that you just need a winter home too! 🏡 There's no need to freeze in the winter🥶. Just move to your winter home in Florida or some other warm place for a few months 😀! Hey, I found an emoji that reminds me of your poinsettia stamp🗯 so I couldn't resist. I had already used more emojis in this comment than I had ever used before, so what's one more!

Does anyone else find that the magnets feel too thick? The stamps typically still work fine, but it feels when I press the door on the MISTI, it feels like the magnets are prohibiting the stamps from coming down all the way? Is it just me? And I'm using the My Sweet Petunia bar magnet. I've had them for several years and just was curious if anyone else had this experience.
