I learned a trick from a Japanese lady; she scraped ginger with a spoon it’s super easy and you don’t waste any ginger that way

I made alterations to incorporate both the cornstarch and the aloe gel instead of separating them into two different types of cream. I substituted other oils, tiny amounts of olive oil, safflower and avocado oil. I think my body lacked moisture so badly that it pulled the water and oils out of the cream, leaving residue of the cornstarch and aloe gel on the surface. I'm gonna have to tamper with the recipe to get rid of that residue, because I don't want to have to wash off again after using. Perhaps it needed more oil. The aloe gel was made from fresh aloe plant with a blender, so it was not fully blended into the mixture and gave off the appearance of clear bubbles that would have to eithr be rubbed in or flicked off. I added small amounts of garlic, parsley and cilantro, then added a tablespoon of Sprouts' Mango Cocoa Butter as a binder, because of the xanthum gum etc. So I made a triple lotion lol. The color changed to a pleasant light key lime green, and the smell of mango and ginger was mild but fragrant. Overall satisfied with the after shower ritual, it smelled nice and did correct my skin's moisture level, pulling in water from the cream but also drying the skin on the surface like a natural deodorant. I'd probably try this as a whole body mask like 3 times a week and report back on it in a month. The deodorant-like drying effect and residue on the surface from the cornstarch would have to be washed off and then perhaps put on just a layer of pure aloe gel to go. I wouldn't leave that cornstarch on the whole body all day.

Corn starch has been used to stiffen the clothes after washing. To put it on the face is same as spreading superglue. Of course it will make wrinkles to “disappear “ For short period of time. It will also clog the pores and make your face look like a mask. White of egg has same effect and is much healthier alternative.

Hi again: have a question, in your 2nd recipe, did you use ginger with rose water OR only the ginger?

Also, I made the 2nd recipe but it came out all watery, what do you think happened? Maybe the aloe Vera gel has to be a special brand?? Please help.

Cordialement.

You are saying health from kitchen. But you are adding many costly oils which cannot afford by common people.. You just meant for highclass

I'll disagree with you there! I used food stamps to purchase aloe vera leaves from Sprouts... made my own aloe gel at home. The oils can be used interchangeably, it's simply adding a fat to the mixture, and a fragrance. You can substitute (other food items that someone on government aid can afford) light sesame oil, or coconut oil, olive oil, avocado oil, safflower or sunflower oil... the list goes on. And you can make homemade fragrance oil, if you look up a tutorial on how to make apricot oil, for example, with a food processor and water. I think the whole point of these vids is to also inspire your own creativity, looking up safe food ingredients in safe quantities to make your own mixture. To preserve shelf life, I'm using a dash of citric acid (also purchased at Sprouts) to keep it shelf stable long enough to use such a big batch.
