This was an amazing video! I wanted Bloo to be in this collaboration, not only because she is an amazing person, but because it gives all of us in the United States a chance to see how things are different elsewhere. While the practices used in the UK are not in line with the practices in the US, Bloo and I had many discussions about her practices. She followed her guidelines and agrees with us following ours! If you are interested in this recipe, do your research as to the approved methods here in the US and follow them. This was not provided in the collaboration as an alternative to our guidelines, but a perspective many of us rarely get a chance to see. THANK YOU BLOO for your patience and diligence getting it out! (she suffered major tech difficulties getting this out and she stayed on it and followed through. THANK YOU!)

Swimming room! Love it. Great tip on the ginger water. Husband in military so we lived in different countries allowing me to learn many ways of doing things separate from USA. Especially enjoyed this vid! Thank you. I grow ginger in pots and am always looking for new uses! Can hardly wait to try this out. Wonder if I didn’t want the finished product quite so runny and I removed some of the syrup, would it still gel? Experiments! Experiments!
@BloosSelfReliance
@BloosSelfReliance 2 жыл бұрын
If you use the powdered pectin it will gel. The jam sugar although it contains pectin doesn't have the same amount as we would use to make this the full way :) But sure let me know how your experiments go xox

It is good and has it's uses, the pectin level though is pretty low for ingredients that don't have natural pectin. It is handy though for berries and citrus fruits.

@@BloosSelfReliance thank you your response. That is good to know. Think I’ll order some Pomonas pectin. I’ve always just used sure jell. It works great but I want to try some lower sugar recipes and that allows for that. God bless.
