Her keen intelligence, graft and sheer experience point the skill of this (astonishingly) 'well crafted' lyric like no other. She could even handle the defects in the equally cack-handed piano accompaniment and TV camerawork. She was so much more than '... and Ginger Rogers.'

Ginger was correct when speaking about songwriters and song writing teams, but she left out one songwriting team that is worth mentioning: Lennon and McCartney. I love Ginger; such a classy lady and still singing great at that point in her career. Rest in peace wherever you are, Ginger.

Ginger looked good at 70; afterwards her heath declined for diabetes, which being a Christian Scientist she refused to treat. All things pass.

She had a major stroke, which put her in a wheelchair for the rest of her life, but she continued to make public appearances.

Do you know the year she got her stoke?
@aeichler7 жыл бұрын
I don't know the year, but you were right that it was brought on by diabetes, which she didn't treat because of her Christian Science beliefs.

Ginger had the stroke around 1990/91- .

Christian Science also forbade plastic surgery, which is why Ginger's face latterly was full of fillers and thick make-up.
