I tried to explain Beanus to my mother. I showed her a picture, then asked her if she wanted a shower curtain featuring Beanus for Christmas. It wasn't a look of horror, it was more a look of astonishment that people would feel comfortable enough to sit on the toilet with that image looking on. Your doing the lord's work. Merry Christmas.

Nearly wasn't a merry Christmas for me...I hit another car on my way to work. I think the lady had a broken collar bone and was very brave about it and didn't make a fuss, but the man sustained a small cut on his hand and insisted on showing it to everybody like an eight year old. I think she was his carer. Their boot flew open as well, and there was an awful lot of beans in there.

I have decided to pursue a Phd in music theory based on the song. My thesis will be how the song was made out of 'cut-ups'. David Bowie would take his diaries and cut them up and rearrange the sentences to form a string of non-sequiturs that sounded more profound than they actually were. -Don't knock it it made him millions. I believe that Beanus uses the same technique. However no matter which combination and order that he organises the phrases, it can only end up stating over and over that he like beans.
