This is a great idea, and perfect for this time of year. I will point out that where I live there are 3 kinds of molasses, so for desserts you'd want to use "Fancy Molasses", not the "Blackstrap Molasses" or the "Cooking Molasses", otherwise it's not going to taste very good (at least not in my opinion). The cookies look great though, and it's a great idea to make them gingerbread flavoured. Good video 👍

yes, I assume that if a recipe doesn't specify it's always to be used fancy molasses, only if a recipe specifies blackstrap molasses, then that should be used.

Did you use 4 tbsp of butter in your buttercream recipe because it looked like you put 1 stick or that one stick is 4 tbsps? 😅 4:27
@PiesandTacos3 жыл бұрын
I made a larger batch because I was using for other macarons. The measurements for a small batch is what is written in the recipe.

What type of chocolate did you melt for the decorating? My macs baked beautifully and now it's time to fill and decorate!

When do you add dried egg whits and why? Some recipes call for it some don’t. My Macarons seem to have less cracking with the dried whites

Happy new year question I tried this with the one and a half teaspoons of molasses and why does your video look like you put almost half a cup maybe you are making a bigger batch but I felt that the one and a half teaspoons was not enough is it OK to add more?
@PiesandTacos Жыл бұрын
Yes I was making a big batch. you can add more to taste for sure. Happy new year to you as well!

How much of the cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger do you add?? I didn't see it noted in the recipe (I figured since there are less comments here this might be the easiest way to reach you? Lol)
@PiesandTacos3 жыл бұрын
I listed them on the description above it’s 1/4 tsp of each 😊

This seems like too little of butter to make it this creamy, anyone else having this problem?
@amandamuller573528 күн бұрын
I had this problem but added the milk (per the recipe) 1/4 tsp at a time until I got the desired consistency
