My wife & I got a poo-shon puppy a couple weeks ago to help my dad get through his remaining years of life. Our neighbor had to have their dog put down a few weeks ago. A little poodle named Howie. When his owners went on the road for their job, my parents watched him. And we firmly believe, my uncle, whom just passed 8 months ago, lived longer cause he had little Howie as a companion.
