I was glad to hear that you have not yet ordered from Temu. Please be aware that the reason some of its prices are so low is that its vendors use “forced labor.” That is the term China uses for slave labor. The employees are paid very little to nothing for their work. I would encourage everyone to consider that before using them as a source.

I have to agree. I like the old way of doing the rusty crusty. But it’s the only way to find out how it works (primer) to see if you like it or not. Loving green lazy susan n the little stool. Just love how it crackles. That stool really looks like it’s been around for a while. All your pieces looked great. It’s so much fun watching you transform something new or being around to something old that may have a story to tell.♥️♥️😊👍👍🌟👏

Love the Rusty Crusty projects today. My favorite by far was the horse. Thanks for testing the primer, after seeing end result I too think it doesn't do much. Don't ever worry about making people mad when you paint something...it's yours you paid for it so you can do with it what you want! If I had a nice piece but wasn't in love with it, if it's not worth "life changing money" I'm gonna paint it! TFS Yvonne

Thank you Yvonne for the tip of putting a clear sealer over the pantry door before you put the dark wax so that it would limit the color change in area where there was not crackle or chip. I just redid 2 end tables with Sweet Pickens Flour Sack and then used their Dark “Oil Wax” and it changed the overall color, not just in the chippy and crackled areas. I also went back over it with the clear oil wax and it helped a little but not as much as I had hoped. I do like their “Oil Wax” as a top coat/sealer because it keeps the sheen Flat/Matte and extremely durable as well as the Black Oil Wax allowed me to darken the stain on the top to take out the Orange hue the stain had left. I learn so much from you and enjoy all of your videos as well as the videos on your other channel. I appreciate all the you and Chris do.

I was born in KS, but, raised in CA But, I have fond memories of a young child and remember the flat land and seeing the tall windmills dotted across the prairie landscape. Every since then I have loved windmills. Sadly I'm the proud owner of 3 windmills and none of them spin. On our 80 acres in WI, it's just too windy, and they get knocked down and the blades are damaged. But, I do have one on the wall in my house. So I love all your projects but love the windmill the best.

Prime start actually protects your metal project. When you apply the paint to your metal & use the activating spray, it will all eventually eat through your metal project in the long run. The Patina Guard is used to seal your project in. See my other 2 comments ❤

Also you are supposed to use the green patina spray with the iron paint to create actual rust. You can also use the yellow but the main one for rust is the green spray. It matters what sprays you use with what paints. Below is what the website says to better explain 👇🏼 "To activate the Iron Patina Paint and achieve the desired effect, simply use the Green or Yellow Spray" See my other 2 comments ❤

Hi Yvonne Love your videos! I just started doing patina on candlesticks, table lamps and a few other items. I’m enjoying it! Just in case you didn’t know you don’t have to use the base primer on nonmetal items. Just wanted to save you some money lol. You can do a base with a color of chalk paint, they usually do a black or dark brown. Or you don’t have to use any base at all. Happy flipping! Yvonne
