Great job Yvonne! I usually start with a 150 or 120 grit to get the finish off. I find it leaves less swirl marks in the wood and doesn't "deep dive" to scar up the wood. It takes a tad longer. Then to smooth it out a 220 does awesome. I usually only use an 80 if it is a super thick hardwood/finish I need to get off the top. No need to sand the entire piece if you use a good chalk paint. A light sand if you're worried the surface is too slick. Then a good cleaning Then paint. I usually only sand to the bare wood when I stain a piece. Just my 2 cents. It's worked for me for 10+ years. I absolutely LOVE redoing furniture. Lovely piece you've done! (P.S. My Ryobi orbital is crazy! I had to get a corded orbital from Harbor Frieght to not be vibrated to death. The Ryobi cordless feels too put of control to me without holding w/ both hands...lol)

Anytime! If I could be a Dixie Belle retailer I would but my zip codes are all taken (where my booths are located). If you don't have a retailer in your area I would highly recommend looking into it. You would get a great discount as a retailer for paint you need and be able to sell it. It is the only paint I think I would want to sell. It's that good! Love your channel and your work! Wow that is beautiful! We are moving into a new home soon and I’m going to try this black with the brown wax on my furniture! I love that look. Doing headboard,night stands ,dressers and my mother in laws cedar chest to all match! Then I’m putting a large rusted metal Buffalo sene on the headboard.
