The question is looking at the effect of an increase of one unit in effort grades (which will be your "x"), on the improvement between predicted and final points ("y"). Hence for your your linear regression, Xlist will be the change(c) and y will be the average effort score. The gradient of that regression line is 6.6

Hi Ziad, unfortunately I won't have time to film the second question. If you are stuck on Euler's Method for solving coupled differential equations, I would recommend buying the online version of the Haese & Harris textbook (Purple) as they have links embedded that goes through the method for the TI-Nspire and the other calculators. Hope that helps!

hey, the question needed the x list and y list to be changed but I did not know that b stands for the gradient isnt it ax+b for the calculator

It can also calculate a + bx too, in which case b is the gradient. Thank you for the clarification with the x and y list needing to be changed! 👍🙂

How many different kinds of official IB tests are there? I know about past exams, but I just learned about specimen papers -- are there any more kinds of tests that are made from the IBO that one could practice on?

In addition to Specimen and Past Papers, IB did release a few years ago extra Specimen Papers to help students prepare - this is what the Paper 2 video was based on :-)

Glad it was helpful; I had my 2nd vaccination today so didn't get tume to do the 2nd question. However, eigenvectors and phase portraits have already appeared so highly unlikely to appear again...

My best guess would be a long question on linear and non-linear regression and then a long question on sinusoidal modelling as these both have not really appeared yet...

Hi, Can you explain why for Q1c ii) the population standard deviation is used? Is not sigma the population SD. I thought the question used a sample of students.

They do take a sample of students at the start, but we are using the 8 students as a population for the statistical tests that we are running in this question. Hope that makes sense!

@@GingerMathematician Thanks, I assumed the marking scheme and your solutions were implying that. It doesn't seem logical though. Surely if your data set is a sample, it would make sense that the calculations based on that would also be a sample. I am not statistical expert though.
