Ali 556 it's a old car it's not gonna be immaculate, the carpet will hold moisture and sweat it's not that big of a deal though because the actual foot well should be protected against that. I'm not saying there is no need to fix the rust I'm just saying it's not gonna be immaculate. It looks like light painted sheet metal. If it's taken 25 years or so to get like that it's not a major thing and I'm sure he knows what's up with his car anyways at the end of the day he has seen much more of it than we have

that rust means that there's water getting in the kick panel which means it can get to the ecu, same thing happened to my 90 Miata but much worse and it fried my ecu

Arthur King If you launch too hard in a powerful car (not a miata) it could break an axel and if it shoots flames it can cause a lot of vibrations which aren’t healthy but just regular launch control is fine
