I remembering starting a sorcery-only playthrough and thinking "this will be a change of pace from my usual melee playstyle". Then I discovered that Carian Slicer was basically a melee build but much better, with the only caveat being mana management.

Step 1: Progress Rya's Questline until she moves to the Altus Plateau (this part is optional but it makes everything much easier) Step 2: Kill Bernahl and collect the Bell Bearing Step 3: Meet Rya in Altus and let her take you to the Volcano Manor or simply get to the Manor in any way you see fit Step 4: Talk to Tanith and join Volcano Manor Step 5: Hand Bernahl's Bell Bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks if you've already handed over the Bell Bearing it will update after joining the Volcano Manor Step 6: You've unlocked Assasins Gambit without having to fight Rykard and skipping the 3 NPC Invasions for the Manor

Imagine if after you return the death rune to the Elden Ring, you character could be subject to permadeath if you didn't opt for a new journey. According to the lore, Queen Marika removed the rune of death from the Elden Ring to remove death itself from The Lands Between. But since the death rune was restored, so was death itself, therefore our character would stop reviving at sites of grace.

I hear you but technically the Rune of Death was used for the burning of the Erdtree. It hasn’t been returned to the Elden Ring, which means it doesn’t affect the rest of the world until it is.

We the character don’t know that we have to kill God/Elden Beast/Greater Will, which is just the byproduct of taking the throne. The only tarnished that understood the gravity of the situation was Gideon, which is why he was so distraught in his speech on how it was impossible to take the throne, because god has long forsaken the Tarnished, and Gideon believed no one could slay it.

In a more literal case of using ranged spells vs a close-quarter "blade" spell? Not really, and you make an equally fair point. Suppose it depends on the context or view, though I won't disagree with your question.

8:00 I did a blind playthrough on my first run & discovered a large majority of the game; explored every inch of the map and every dungeon, fought all bosses I could find; took ~250hrs and I still missed ALOT of stuff. Not to mention the added content fromsoft keeps throwing in with updates There are still things yet to be discovered, I guarantee it

Here's a challenge for you: What is the MINIMUM number of kills requied to beat elden ring? You're allowed to level and use whatever items or weapons you'd like, but any enemy death (including enemies that die by the environment) counts against you.

@@Psy_an The lowest kill route is, as far as I can tell: 1) Mohg 2) Radahn 3) Draconic Tree Sentinel 4) Goldfrey 6) Morgott 7) Fire Giant 8*) Godskin Duo 9) Maliketh 10) Gideon 11) Godfrey 12) Radagon 13) Elden Beast Mohg and Radahn are the only shardbearers that require 0 kills to reach. Due to the nature of the fight, Godskin Duo technically counts as 2+ kills though. If you want to be extra pedantic about enemies needing to be "alive" in the lore to count as a kill, then you can do Valiant Gargoyles and Fia's Champions to skip Draconic Tree Sentinel. Goldfrey wouldn't count under this ruleset either.

After about 25 attempts, I finally defeated Radahn. Well, I say me. Mainly the summons 😂 It took about 2 hours. Tried Rotten Breath, Carian Slicer, Rock Sling. In the end I went and got Comet Azure to smash him quickly to end phase 1, then Loretta's Greatbow and summoned like crazy. What a crazy and super tough boss. You, Gino are a legend.

yes but only if it has a Strength requirement like the Azur staff, you can still use it 1 handed but it uses more stamina if you don't have the strength needed
