@@morrrr well sougo did say that "if you think they love you so much, they would notice you were faking it" He did care about Kagura's opinions and as his rival. She was the one who snapped him back to his senses when he almost massacred some random thugs and she stopped him. As his rival, he did care. He did care about his pride to not lose against a rival. It aint love but it did show he does care. Plus kagura feels the same, they are friends and rivals but never crossed that romantic line because sorachi sucks in love stories and if he does try to write one we get mantama.

Kagura's death arch is literally one of the worst in Gintamа. No jokes as such, just unfunny predictable gegs. And at the same time, they are also trying to convey some shitty morality about Kagura's guilt and how everyone was worried about her. The only funny thing in the series is Sogo's spoof, but shippers have already spoiled it, altering all the scene in the comments. So I'm incredibly happy that I'm not the only one who watched these episodes with a stone face, girl reaction saved video

Sougo realize that Kagura only prank Gin and Shinpachi in order to know if they really care about her. But what I realize is that Gin and Shinpachi already know that Kagura is just pranking them, they used her "death" so all of her friends will give them money for Kagura' funeral yet the money went all through Gin-san pocket

Also, when they heard Kagura accidentally said sorry and the other characters heard it, they tried to hide her voice and prevent like she still dead. So i thought Gintoki use this opportunity for money, since the funeral was held by Soyo, sister of shogun so fundraiser isn't really neccesary :v
