Dear Gintama, Thank you for making my childhood one of the best times of my life... Truth is I found Gintama playing randomly on a dubbed anime channel You made me laugh my ass every single day. Despite the comedy, Gintama's the only one who taught me these "golden values of life" besides Naruto of course. Even if its 300+ episodes long, I can't get tired of laughing my ass off 24/7. Binged watched 15-18 episodes everyday just to catch up the current series and there's even this one time that I tried this "jokes" on my girlfriend and she slapped the sh*t outta me. All in all, its a good anime 👌. If you want to watch comedy, action, and at the same time a dramatic kind of anime, (not including the 18+ jokes) then I recommend you this UNDERRATED masterpiece. ~just a 19-year old guy who calls himself weeb

This cover is what got me interested in Gintama and I just wanted to say thank you so much because this anime and cover have really helped me through a dark time in my life. I'm still going through, I haven't come out the other side yet, but this song and anime give me hope and make me feel not as alone. The fact that Gin is such an unconventional yet still likable and admirable protagonist really makes me feel like maybe I might be able to make my life valuable, too. In particular, I can relate to the lines "Lost in the crowds/But I'm wandering lonely/Feeling so small as I look to the sky/Nobody cares and I'm feeling only/More alone as time goes by". These days, I do find myself feeling lonely even in crowds, and sometimes it feels like nobody really cares or like no one would really miss me if I were gone. It seems like with each passing year I just feel more alone. And then the refrain, "Hey, hey, can you hear me?/Is anybody there?/When will I get an answer?/I'm searching everywhere/Hey, hey, this is my life/And my fate's all up to me/Whether I hate or love and smile and cry/This life I'm living is mine" really resonates with an inspires me too. Sometimes I wonder if there is such a thing as a God or other higher power and if so, where are they? Can they hear my prayers? Can anybody hear me, is there anybody there? I keep hoping for some kind of answers, but none have yet to come to me. But I'm inspired by the part about how "this life I'm living is mine" and I can choose whether to love or hate, laugh or cry (or both). It's hard to put it into words. This whole song just really resonates with me.
