women just like to show their bodies. even good married women like to get attention from other men just to know they are valued by the male species. the only red flag I noticed was a video maya did about 5 months ago talking about challenges in a marriage. and then she had GIO on with her and she basically complained to him about the things he was doing that she didn't like. if I had to guess, she wasn't really that compatible with gio but decided she wanted to marry him and then try changing him after their got married (a big no no). so only after they were married did she start complaining to him about the things she didn't like about him. and then that video was a last call to him to change the things she doesn't like about him. I think she ended it. at 50 plus, gio doesn't want a second divorce on his record. I would never consider dating someone with 2 divorced. as long as gio gets the divorce when he gets back to the states, she is in a lot better position than him. I would probably never get involved with a filipina that dumped a marriage with an expat so quickly.

I've been watching Gio off and on over the years. I don't have much of an opinion of what happened between them. But I think he created a monster, she's got her own channel and soon enough the '"sponsors" will start 'donating' money to her..She's become Americanized. I've been with a couple Philippina's in USA, they both were divorced..I'm a bit surprised they ended in the Philippines. But as I said, I think he created the monster.. I think gio got engaged shortly before he moved from cebu city to dumaguete. he mentioned it in a video back them (I doubt that video is still up). I remember it because it didn't seem long after than and he was living in dumaguete and single again. I think there was a bigger risk of him being used this time (that with ging) because his YT channel is a lot bigger. maya saw how much he helped Ging with her channel (when he had a much smaller channel) and probably knew with gio's help she could have a much bigger YT channel than ging. I've decided if I hook up with a filipina, I'm gonna try to make sure I provide her with no incentives to be with me other than because she wants to be with me. no trips to other countries. no eating out 3X a week. etc.

I suspect when/if attorneys in the Phils get up to speed, there'll be Expats getting routed from ex live-in girlfriends suing them. Not so in Thailand, but there's the language barrier there. I guess it's best to just date a Filipina and make sure she has her own place and income.

If you are a senior person, sooner or later you would need the right woman to take care of you instead of ending up in nursing home. So with Maya moving into her new apartment, and Gio moving out of their place in Dumaguete, it's confirmed, Gio and Maya are done. At one time Gio was talking about bringing Maya to the states. Most of us told him not to, it rarely ends well. Now we know how that would have ended, only instead of him leaving her, she would have left him. I'm assuming Gio left Maya, because she is obviously feeling sad and his vlog is upbeat and business as usual. Since there is no divorce in the PI, by marrying Maya he really screwed up her life. There is no way that she can ever hope to marry a foreigner (or anyone for that matter) again. Maya is really cute, if he can't make it with her he's truly a lost soul. My advice for 1st timers coming to the Philippines is GO TO ANGELES CITY - Sew your Wild Oats. You have plenty of time to go to a boring town like Dumaguete. I think Gio is a bit prudish and thought AC was dirty, so he never came here. Too bad, because now since he is married any affair he has with a Filipina is adultery and could actually land him in jail or have him be forced to pay a hefty fine. Also, once Maya gets over him, she may come after him for support money - he is her husband after all. At this point he realistically only has 2 choices - he can get back together with Maya or run away to Thailand - the Philippines is no longer safe for him.

@@michaelbyrne5469 I didn't know the Philippines now accepts absentee divorce filings. I did something similar with my 3rd divorce. We separated while living in Florida. I moved to Arizona and had to reside there 6 months before I could file for divorce. A notice of my intent to divorce was filed in Florida and my wife was given a chance to contest, which she did. It was several years before my divorce was final. I had to pay my legal fees plus half of my wife's. My legal fees total was around 26K. Based on that experience, Gio would have to move back to the states to end his marriage and hope she doesn't choose to contest. My wife contested wanting money. We settled by me letting her take over our Florida house.

Correction: Gio stated one child is okay so long as the child is above diaper/toddler stages. He also stated she can't be "overly" tattooed. Not zero tattoos. These were huge mistakes. A single mom proves she makes bad decisions. And she will continue to make more. All Gio was thinking about is that a 5 year old is less annoying than a baby crying all night. While we won't ever find out from either of them what really happened, IMO when Maya spoke somewhat in the third person about a "lack of chemistry" and words to the effect that "you can't save a relationship if there's a lack of that" (chemistry), I assume AFTER they got married she thought that was not a good move on her part. I assume she decided she was still young and attractive enough to end the marriage, and she could move on. But I absolutely don't know what happened. (But what I do know, is that when marriages or relationships end, rarely is it both persons mutually agree at the same time to call it quits. It typically only one person who breaks up with the other.)

Unfortunately it does appear that Gio was primarily a financial opportunity to Maya above all else. If I try to think from a woman's perspective- 1.The man treats you good, and is not abusive in any way. He becomes a good Dad to your existing kid or you have a kid together. Man talks things out instead of arguing and fights. 2. He has enough $$$ to support the family in a comfortable lifestyle. 3. Man does not cheat or womanize. If a woman leaves that situation she is Psychotic. Deranged. Men like that are near impossible to ever replace or find.

I disagree. Maya with lots of makeup is maybe 6 to 7 at most. Without makeup she's a 3 (see her videos when she's in her apartment). And factor in one or two kids, that makes her a 2. Finally, with all those grotesque tattoos, one very large on her left side (which implies she was, to put it politely, a "working girl") well, even with makeup that keeps her at a 2, or if I'm in a generous mood, maybe a 3.

Great video. Helps me understand the world of social media and the effects it has on a woman's perceived self-worth. They don't know that most of the guys commenting on their channels are users and simps. All they see is that there are hundreds of guys who "want me."
