I have always felt that the final triumph of this painting, even given the beauty of the light and the contemplative mood, is in a single detail. Namely, that of the Virgin's hand under the child's foot. And it is framed by an extraordinarily celebration of colours in relation.

One of the most adorable chubby bb Jesus' I've seen to date, lol. 🥰 This piece - and the space it's housed in - are gorgeous. I'd lose my mind attempting to capture and appreciate all the details.
