Strange Darling is in my top 5 movies of the year. INCREDIBLE movie and whenever I see friends I tell them to go in blind and watch it.

Strange Darling is right next to Dune Part Two as my favorites off the year. Honestly, nothing else has reached the level those two reached for me. Thanks for this interview; I wish more people were talking about this film.

I loved the movie and I was SHOCKED when I saw his name in the credits as the cinematographer. Incredible movie and he also did fantastic work on it, thanks for having him on the show with this great conversation!

Great movie, for sure. And great experience watching it, it's been a while since I was hooked with a movie like that.

I loved Ribisi in nearly every role I've seen him in. Films like "Basic", "Sky Captain", "Gone in 60", and even one alongside Cate Blanchette which I can't remember the title of because it was an independent film from 30+ years ago. But... much LIKE Blanchette, Crowe, Portman, Oldman, and so forth, Ribisi DISAPPEARS into his roles. That's an admirable thing from my perspective (and I actually used to act).

Some directors don't work with story boards. So what....

It's rarely a good sign. Especially for a first-time director. It's akin to a n00b writer who "doesn't outline" or ignores dramatic structure, storytelling foundations, and other important concerns such as thematic underpinnings. Again, it's a bad sign. Not necessarily a guarantee that the individual is a janky hack, but... odds aren't in favor, ya know? 😂
