Very clear and good explanation. If we have good fin knowledge then direct is good. If we have no or medium fin knowledge then taking fin advice is better. We need to be honest with this analysis. If we go for 1% benefit by investing direct and invest in bad funds (there are 1000 of funds), we will loose % in double digits as a result and it will be many crores😮 Patience, Time in the market and periodic evaluation of our asset allocation with good financial advisors are very important. Excel sheets are always good but how many stay put as per excel sheets

Do not invest only in Midcap. Select 2Midcap, 2 smallcap& 1 large cap etc

Invest based on your risk appetite. If you are not willing to take any risk invest in UTI Nifty 50 Index Fund… there sectorial diversification is so good

Both are high performing and high volatile funds. Both are good funds. Small cap = high risk and high reward. Stay in small caps in bull markets.

Impact of Expense Ratio on Returns in Direct versus Regular in long term investing: For instance, you invest Rs. 25000 monthly through SIP in a mutual fund scheme for 30 years with an expected rate return of 12%. In a regular plan where you are paying 1.5% expense ratio, the accumulated corpus would be Rs. 6.3 crore. However, with the direct plan, where the expense ratio is 1%, this accumulated amount would be 7.8 crore. The 0.5% difference in expense ratio could cost 1.5 crore, which is approximately 25% more than the regular plan. So when you have basic idea on mutual funds, better to invest in direct plan.. and can review the portfolio in every 3 years, thing is not every mutual fund will work all years, so if today Axis and other few mutual funds not giving good returns means it is just their bad cycle and they may turn around after next 2 years..and which doing good may not do as good as they did earlier..

Good joke, Even future performance of mutual funds cant be judged by Mutual fund distributors also.. Even Axis bank has been suggested by many Mutual funds distributors earlier but now he is saying only Direct plan users invested in Axis mutual funds...

Don't beleive the brokers. They always tell to go via brokers as they want to survive. If you are new to the trading, be with them for few months and then quit them and do it yourself.
