GIRIBALA THAKURBARI | Historical Place Agarpara

The Giribala temple is a hundred years old heritage site, situated on the eastern bank of Hooghly river(Ganga) in Agarpara, Panihati. This was built by Giribala Dashi, the granddaughter of Janbazar's Rani Rashmoni in the year of 1912. Here Radha-Govinda idols are worshiped by devotees. This temple is an identical structure to the famous Dakshineswar Kali temple in design. Nowadays this temple is run by the Bholagiri ashram committee.
A nice place, you can visit anytime & pass some happy moments with your friends or family at Giribala ghat.
জানবাজারের রাণী রাসমণির নাতনি গিরিবালা দাসী ১৯১২ সালে গঙ্গার পূবদিকে রাধাগোবিন্দ মন্দির প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন। দক্ষিণেশ্বরের ভবতারিণী মন্দিরের নকশার আদলে তৈরি করা হয় এই মন্দির। বর্তমানে এটি ভোলাগিরি আশ্রম কমিটির অধীনস্থ।
বছরের যে কোন সময়, যে কোন দিনে আপনি বন্ধুবান্ধব, পরিবার নিয়ে এখানে ঘুরে আসতে পারেন।
