Just listened to their “This Moment” album 3 days ago and the album has been on repeat, especially this song. Love from Nigeria🇳🇬

This band is one of the best I know, I'm listening to the 5 CDs and the videos since 2005 and it's always still fantastic music! And I'm always sad when I think of Srinivas who left us so young.
A magnificent performance! A special standing ovation for Mandolin Srinivas sir 🙏🏻 What an inhuman precision in the small instrument that is the mandolin! In spite of the break-neck speed, he never once strayed away from the Raga swaroopam and the bhava of the Raga! True Mahanubhavar 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Special mention to the other artistes as well.

Honestly, U Srinivas is another league. Even S. Mahadevan couldn't catch up here.
@hotpursuit19854 жыл бұрын
I actually feel Mahadevan should not have been included in the group..I wouldn't question Mahadevan's professionalism..But others are ultra professionals way out of the league

@@hotpursuit1985 Well said Suneeth. I am a fan of Shankar Mahadevan. But he is not able to catch up with the other legends in this concert.

Haridwaramangalam AK Palanivel. He was the one who popularized U Srinivas as a 8 year old kid by playing tavil for him all over the state.

Why did you sing swara kalpana in this raga ? It is not necessary. Kruti only will be enough.
@sids19073 жыл бұрын
While a great fusion no doubt, the essence embodied by this brilliant devotional composition of Saint Tyagaraja has been missed a tad in the drive to play or sing superfast. Fusion isn't always best, it can lead to confusion, original-conventional-traditional always trumps

Nice vibrant singing, but his sanskrit pronunciation leaves much to be desired.. sudha instead of sutha and muga instead of mukha.. the last line is "phaniraja kankana vighna nivarana shambava"..it looked like he was not sure of the lyrics and swallowed when he didn't know. Shankarji, will be perfect if you pay attention to this!!

It is Sutha, not sudha. Giriraja Sutha tanaya which refers to ganesha who is the son of Parvati who is the daughter of the king of the mountains(giriraja)
