I don't agree that all men can't be with just one woman. But I respect poly relationships and think it's possible. I'm sex positive so as long as people are being open, honest, have respect, and is considerate with everyone you are with, I think anything work. But Mike and his girlfriends hit on some key things, being poly isn't about just being able to have sex with different people. Real poly relationships have the same benchmarks as regular couples. Mike has to constant navigate keeping both of these women feeling safe and secure. Like he said, jealousy is real normal and common feelings no matter what kind of relationship you are in. And as long as your partner expresses this feeling to you in a healthy way it's your job to make them feel secure. And when you're in a poly relationship it's the person seeing other people's job to check-in and keep all parties involved happy. Most people are prepared or even aware of the extra work and constant communication and compromises it takes to be in a poly relationship. If you don't build and maintain trust it's not going work. Most people can do the sex side, but that can't or don't do the other sides and then are surprise when it doesn't work. The number one problem in one on one relationships is communication, it's amazing how people don't think about the even deeper need for communication in a poly one.

Everything else is just more detailed ways of saying your straight, gay, or bi. If you are trans and identify as male and prefer to date women and/or trans women, your straight to me or even just gay if no one expects you as male. As for sex positive, it's really just means you don't pass judgment, shame, or get bother by what others do sexually. Someone's body count, who they have sex with, or what kind of sex they enjoy is not something that will negatively impact how you view them as a person. As long as they aren't hurting anyone or themselves. And have positive experiences. But I think that gets confused with all sex is good, no matter what. I don't believe that to be true, if you are having sex for the wrong reasons, to fill a void, because it's the only way to get your attachment needs met, or if after you have negative feelings, regret, or shame after then that's not being sex positive, that's just using sex to cope with your mental health issues or avoid your emotional needs that a huge and conversation could fix.
