Okay but warts... ARE contagious... do you expect the kids to want to play paddy cakes with her when she has something thats HIGHLY contagious where touching something she touches can result in getting warts. Its not like she has some dry skin or something where its not contagious and there is no reason to avoid her. Id also want to know if her mother has bothered to have her warts treated at all. Its really really really absurdly strange that this was not asked during the appointment. Thats a standard question when treating anything - what has been tried so far. Which makes it seem like her mother has been not bothering to treat the warts but also sending her kid to school with something contagious.
@TeanmaResanaria-ls9eu8 ай бұрын
@@adammiller9029 Warts are only contagious when they bleed and when the blood of the warts enters your system by damaged skin barrier through a scratch oder a wound. Playing with someone who has closed warts is not contagious!!!!

Indeed! You would not believe the comments adults make to my niece about her special needs son. It is shocking to me that an adult feels the need to come up to a total stranger and offer an unsolicited opinion or a degrading comment about my nephew's condition. Kids just ask questions, which they answer openly. The adults however can't wait to criticize or denegrate my niece and great nephew. I am delighted this sweet girl is receiving the treatment she deserves!

I had hundreds of those on my body, even under my fingernails, because of a very rare medicational side effect. When visiting a specialised clinic they told me: "We can get rid of them. But we're sure they'll be coming back". I was devastated, I felt like an outcast and giving handshakes ... well ... I know how hard it is. Some time later, I decided to stop my medication due to other reasons (severe extrapyramidial symptoms). 9 weeks after I stopped the medication, the 7 years long ordeal came to an end. No one believed me until they saw it for themselves. They just fell off my body in about 9 weeks. The relief was just beyond words. I wish her all the best.

When I was in 5th grade, about this girl's age, I had over one hundred warts on my left hand and a few on my right hand. I used to sit on my hands because I was so embarrassed. I took Vitamin E orally for more than a year and they eventually just disappeared after having tried many, many other things. Good luck to Lily!

Parents…..PLEASE teach your children to be kind and compassionate. Lily, one day, those same kids who picked on you will either be ashamed of the way they treated you, or they will be a grown up nastier version of who they are now. And one day, you won’t care either way. YOU just need to keep being YOU.

Poor, sweet baby. Bullying surrounding a feature you can’t control is an awful feeling, especially at her age. My younger sister had a similar problem when we were children. I also had 3 or 4, but her hands were covered in them. Luckily, her treatments worked and they never came back. Mine, not so much. I had 3 removed surgically, one of them my immune system fought off on its own, and I have two little tiny ones left that don’t seem to be getting any bigger. They are a pain to live with, especially when you are young. You can’t do things like climb on monkey bars or play basketball in gym or those clapping games the other kids like to play. They get caught and get torn and hurt, especially if there are nerve endings and blood vessels in there. I’m so glad to see that Dr. Emma could help her.

No amount of handling frogs or toads, or any reptiles or amphibians, will cause a human to develop warts. This myth is thought to have originated because many frogs and toads have bumpy, lumpy skin, and people at one time thought the bumps were contagious somehow.

Our accents are different from Manchester and not anything like Liverpool. It's a much softer accent, similar to a Lancashire accent or a very very mild and very soft west Yorkshire accent. Manchester is an accent which is accentuated through the nose or the nasal passages. It doesn't sound too much like it's spoken through the throat and mouth like our towns accent does where this Little girl is from. 😊
