I laid down the law and told them that if they only see me as some kind of slave, it would come at a much higher cost than money or jewels. That cost? A relationship of any kind, be it romantic or friendship. I’m not a robot or any kind of object. I’m a living, breathing soul with a mind of my own, and I will fight back if I have to. And if the same were to happen to my true friends or loved ones, I’d help them learn to do the same.

And then later the Black character accepts responsibility by saying, "I chose to stay, so it's okay," even though he didn't stay by choice. He only stayed because he was pressured by his boss. Is there a single POC in the writers' room when writing about racism??? To quote Rage Against the Machine, this channel looks like they haven't "seen a Brown skin man since their grandparents bought one."

Nobody won in this episode. The father was a racist who thought he knew better than anyone else. The investor's son was a good person because he did the right thing by putting the girl's father in his place. No one deserves to be treated in this way based on their skin colour. "I am not an object and neither is David." This was a story about a most disgusting situation. There were so many indignities heaped upon the waiter, it was not even funny. First Catherine tries to buy the waiter's time and when that fails, she bribes the manager to pimp out his time. David has become a commodity, not a person. Once the father arrives with a new perspective fiance, it becomes clear that he is a disgusting racist of the first order. The only saving grace is that the actor that plays the father, twice looks like hs is going to pass out with a stroke or heart attack in shear frustration. It is clear that the father is not going to change and is a man use to having his way. Lucasz Pawlak plays such spineless, disgusting characters and once again he does it by selling out his "client" to whom he "sold" his waiter. The only evolved human being in this story is Harry, who really struck the dad a blow, where it counts, in his pocket book by threatening his financial base. The choice of the names of the characters was very interesting. What other name would a wealthy man choose for his daughter than Catherine, reminiscent of Catherine the Great. That name kept coming out of Putin's mouth in his Tucker Carlson interview as the height of the Russian Empire, which he so loves. The operative word for this episode is disgusting, but you have to have a great script to really illicit such strong emotions. I conclude that this was a well written story and that all actors should be commended for agreeing to act in this episode and put so much of their art into this production. This was worthy of being a Special, because of the outrage it generated in this viewer. It was very interesting that they name the potential fiance Harry, a prince of a man. Who knows?
