no not all the time just because you see it happen al the time on real life reality tv shows where they go to court and all that doesn't mean it happens all the time i know cuz i was adopted in 90's by an amazing man Kenneth griffin (then after my mom passed in 2000 out of the blue my real dad shows up) i only lived with him for a yr and a half because he let drinking take over again when i was a kid and had started beating me up again, so im like: this is why no one wants you around and im not staying around either goodbye he's like fine go but if you leave your on your own and you won't make it out there on your own i said i will but you won't so i left 3 weeks later i get a call from his sister saying he had again been arrested for something he never went to court for along with being drunk when they arrested him (which is a big misdemeanor here by California law) which meant a yr behind bars then the first week of summer 02 his dad my grandpa called saying you need to come to san jose for his memorial no one in his family knew that i already knew how he had died because the day before that call it was on the news that a san jose prison inmate killed himself it was him i called what i had seen even before it happened. he didn't make it, my second dad and his daughters offered to be my ride and take me there i said thank you but no i have to do this on my own he's like ok son we'll call me anytime if you need anything were here for you, see when my mom was alive they were just going to do the walk in court thing my last name would have been griffin (kinda like how some states just let you get married on the fly) but i was like no im gonna keep my last name but your still my only dad !!
