I honestly can't stand the people in the comments justifying having kids and raising them in poverty just to say "I have kids" or because of a fear of lower fertility as you get older and less chances of having kids. I'd rather have no children than raise my baby in a small one bedroom apartment in some sketchy gang and drug infested neighborhood sleeping on some dirty mattress on the floor wondering whether I should pay my light bills or buy groceries with the very little money I have. I'd rather have no children than send my child to a low-income school where they are exposed to a toxic school environment. Stop thinking about the cute baby face for a second and start thinking about the toxic environment you could potentially bring a child into. I personally would want the absolute best of the best for my child.

Another tip is stop comparing yourself to other women. Heal your inner child and thrive in confidence, being secure and self love. Do that for yourself first instead of waiting for a man to validate you. Not every one has good intentions

Do not waste your 20's in a relationship that isn't going anywhere! I've heard too many stories of women who decided to spend their twenty's in 10-year long relationships playing wife to a man who doesn't want to get married hoping one day he will change his mind. He won't! Save your time and energy and find a man who can't wait to marry you.

The Learning Ella My journey started during this quarantine by binge watching multiple KZbin videos and brainstorming my life through and what exactly I wanted to change. I started with exercise as the first thing, I created a consistent exercise schedule that I’ve followed through. The next thing I did was to learn how to cook and make foods that I like to eat. A whole self care process. Then of course I also looked into upgrading my fashion sense (which made me start a KZbin channel for try on hauls) And I purchased different skin care products from amazon to try out for weeks and figured out what worked for me. My entire self care and regimen was all about leveling up and honestly learning how to do things for myself the way that I like it. And of course writing down my goals as well along the process. I never had the time because I’m always in school, but quarantine gave me more than enough time to do all this and also graduate from college 💕

Honestly, having children out of wedlock is a disadvantage to any women whether in their 20s or older. There are so many advantages of a two parent household than a single parent household. This still proves true even if the two parent household is dysfunctional. Read the comments, majority of the females upset about the kid part are single mothers. Which is not surprising. If you are a women read and understand the statistics and try to defy them! Recreate your narratives. If you are a single mother seek wisdom from other women who were in your shoes. But don’t be in denial. Unfortunately, the negative stigma and outcomes about having children out of wedlock and young are seen every day.

Im 25 have my B.S completing my Masters in 2021. Been married to my husband 4 years now working on starting an LLC. Got a job at publishing company as a content analyst 1 years after college and i actually got the offer when I graduated but i was pregnant with my son and I kept in contact with the company. Now I work from home with a 401k/insurance in NYC. Look ladies. If you have a kid in your 20s you can still reach for your goals and more but its important who you have a kid with. My husband lets me still be me and do things that i want to do and just because i have a kid does not take away from my individuality. Be organized. Write down your goals. Dont fall into the stigma you have a kid your life is over people that say things like that havent lived life themselves. Keep in shape! Let your partner watch the kiddo and go get drinks with your girls its all about balance.

Girls idolize Jada and how she had her baby loyal young, but in an ig live she literally said she regrets having him so young and wishes she waited and told girls to wait til they’re older to have kids. Even if you can afford it, having a child while very young is NOT IT! Literally every older woman I know has told me the same thing to not have kids until I’m closer to 30. I’m 19 and I don’t get why people my age continue to do this and become baby mamas in this day and age.

Video tips: -Take care of your skin and body -do not send nudes/ record doing something (Save your reputation) -Do not follow every trend (be selective) - Do not blow your saving (save and invest) - Do not ruin your credit (If you cannot buy it three time Do not buy it at all) - start a business (selling clothes, youtube/ explore your dreams) -Understand friends come and go (it's a part of life/ God making room for someone better) - Do not limit yourself to dead end jobs (explore different careers) - Do not have kids young (you won't have enough time for yourself) -Do not forget to practice your femininity ( really set foundation for yourself/ start listening to podcast and read books/ watch movies with feminine characters)

I had my kids at a young age and I AGREE with this video! To each it’s own but this video is on point. There is no need to rush having children. Get your life in order first; finish college, or start a successful business. The struggle bucket life is not where it’s at !!!! Children are a blessing but become MARRIED, and Successful FIRST!!! More MARRIAGES & GRADUATIONS, less baby showers, and young single motherhood !!!!!

Advice I heard from successful elders: Don't do drugs at all or consistently, or you'll regret it later. Don't drink alcohol if you don't want your kidney to fail later on in life. Be careful with the company you keep while you're young, because they'll either stop your growth or help it. Make sure to or try to keep a clean record at all cost. Be selective with the men you date or the man you'll decide to marry.

I agree with the majority of these. This is very good advice. The only thing I would say ladies is don't get caught up in trying to be the next Beyonce. What I mean by that is, she mention dead-end jobs. When I heard that, I thought of jobs that are not glamorous. Jobs that don't necessarily pay the most money. Of course we should all strive for our best, and live our best lives. But if you are not in that position yet; do not be harsh/downplaying yourself. Self-love is very important ☺️.

Most people who have kids in their 20s unfortunately did not plan it, that’s was because they didn’t use any form of birth control and not because they wanted to have kids. I doubt most females in their 20s really want to have kids. It happened because they weren’t careful, even for celebrities but the difference is that influencers and celebrities are more stable to raise their unplanned kids. Use birth control!

I'm sorry but if you didn't tell him NO until he wore a condom, or if you didn't make sure you were taking your daily pill or had a different form of birth control, you planned that child. We gotta stop acting like we don't know how babies are made and hold ourselves and the man you choose to lay with accountable. Now if you are on birth control or you used a condom but it broke AND the next day pill didn't work, THEN it is a true accident because you did everything you could to prevent it. We have to be responsible. In addition to birth control, keep track of your cycle and ovulation window, so that you can be extra vigilant during that time.

All of the points you made are solid advice. Including the kids, in your 20s everyone is still babies, you’re not even a fully mature adult until 25 because that is when the brain is fully developed. Also, not everyone wants to have kids which is not talked about often and is often shitted on by people who have kids saying “you’ll change your mind”, “kids are great”, “you’re selfish if you don’t want kids”. Yea, women should be more selfish, all of the money that would have gone to hypothetical kid is now going to everything I want in my life. I want five bedrooms? Yes. Why? Office, game room, beauty room, closet room, my room. I want to go out and have fun because I can afford it? Yes. No stress? Yes. Live my life with no one waiting on me? Yes. Not everyone wants to be a parent nor does it mean they will be good parents. Majority of people I have met in my life should not have had their kids; either emotionally, mentally, or physically abusive towards their kids. However, having kids should really be taken into consideration as it’s a lifetime of responsibility. If someone has kids, great; if someone doesn’t want kids, even better. Women, you don’t have to have kids if you don’t want to. Your womanhood is not define by being a mother. As a woman, it should be about just you as a person!

Also, I’m currently engaged and we have dated for over 10 years. I would always stress this with my younger family members not to have children young because having children at a young age, as you mentioned, hinders you from discovering your identity as a person. Joyce Adena How old are you? If you’re in high school, you should focus on your studies and some extracurricular activities. Stay away from distractions such as boys and other activities others do to be “cool”. Just because every girl is in the Instagram “baddie” culture doesn’t mean you have to. You must become your own person and take school seriously. Same for boys, usually they don’t know what they want and you don’t know what you want because of being such at a young age. However, I did meet my fiancé at high school, but high school romances are rare. It’s best to avoid boys altogether in high school. Dating can wait and that special person will come later. I’m sorry this comment is long, but those are key advices I have for young people. I hope this helps you. 😊❤️

Having a baby at 26.... Having babies young is healthier for your body and for the baby! Much lower risk of complications or infertility, it is when your body was designed to do this. I’m 19 and I’ll be turning 20 In September before this year came along I wasn’t really as wise as I am today. I always thought a man needed to take care of me and all I have to do is sit back, maybe it’s because of my parents relationship, but the older I get I realize that I need to work and improve myself for myself and no one else. I’ll have to live with myself for as long as I live and ever since I’ve tried to be more independent and self aware, starting with little things like having a morning routine, reading a book and not stay to long on social media. something a lot people forget is that its okay to take breaks, mental health is important; if you feel like you wanna take a break and work on yourself or get closer to your kids/family/SO/etc do that. dont think of time as a ticking bomb. its people in their 40s that just started businesses, that changed their eating habits and now looking younger, started working out and everything. dont feel pressure that your not successful at a certain age. soon to be 20 and people around my age wanna be wealthy at a young age to the point they feel like having fun is a burden.

For all the hate related to her promoting starting a business: She didn't say you must start a business, what she wanted to say most likely was that for those of you who *want* to start a business or have a *talent/skill* you are curious about turning into a business you should rather at least try to turn the dream into a reality in your 20s (instead of delaying it for later) because the more time passes the less likely it is that you are going to attempt to. Or the more difficult the change will feel to you. (You'll probably have a family, not so much energy anymore, lost motivation etc.) So this part is suitable for those who *are curious or want to turn their dream hobby into a job*. She didn't exactly say go start a business even if you don't like the idea just because it seems like a good idea. Hope it clarified it more!!

But, when you go from a job to another one, some recruiters might see it as a sign of instability. If you want to work in a certain type of field, you may do a lot of internships to see which place attracts you the best. But not too many different jobs. Try to have a red string for all the things you dabble in. So you can show that you knew exactly what you were doing, even if it's not the case. As long as you can justify it, you won't seem like an unreliable person.

Yes you will be limited in certain things such as freedom, but ITS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD! I was able to graduate college on time, buy a house, have a successful career, great savings all while being a mom in my 20s. @@sbusisiwelinshaba7841 women who have kids early still get drained...it's even worse because most of the time they raise the kids by themselves spending the rest of their youth taking care of someone. getting pregnant at 30-35 is still fairly young i think. but i kinda agree with the last part. but women shouldn't be having babies in the 20s just to reach their biological clock is ticking

@@alext3480 I'm not for having a baby by oneself as a single mom, but having a loving partner and a good career. I see alot of young girls who have careers in their early 20s and also meet the love of their lives. I personally had a career at 21 and i was engaged, but we ended up breaking up. However it is an individual choice. I just noticed that in my 30s, i don't have the same energy i had in my 20s and things do get more difficult with time, especially at 35 and above, unfortunately women don't have as much time as men, the clock does tick faster in the 30s for me personally.

DO NOT and I mean do not Listen to the Credit advice in this video it is so incorrect Now let me educate you from someone who has A mother as a debt counsellor (who is 20 lol) , 1, going into collections will not ruin your credit report providing you can pay the full amount when required. 2, bailiffs and repossession companies only get involved when it’s way down the line, for instance say you miss a payment on A phone bill the bailiffs aren’t going to come and repossess you. It takes three missed payments and then it becomes a ‘ default ‘ you will then be taken into collections. Say you then pay the amount off in full your credit report will not be impacted (apart from 3 missed payments) if you still can’t afford to pay you can agree a payment plan with the courts (IVA) this can be more damaging but only last six years and if you are also 20 and watching this you will still have time to buy a house and it won’t ruin your life forever. That’s it from me hope you learnt something new and please ignore the credit part from this video thanks

I agree with everything you hit on in this video and this is just a response to some comments I feel is just a lil ignorant and insensitive I’m 25 my son is 6 we both have never wanted for nothing I’ve never lived in the city or in poverty at all my son knows nothing of tht life and nor do I. Also never had to be on any government assistance. I definitely didn’t have a child just say I have a kid lmao. I think comments like tht is why ppl get offended bcus of the assumption tht every young person with a child is living this way 🤔. But with all tht said I would’nt encourage anyone to have a child they aren’t ready for no matter the age simply bcus it’s hard to work on yourself and raise a child if you are still learning wht you want out of life and a lot of times young relationships dnt last bcus you grow and realize you and tht person want different things and probably have different views on how you want to raise a child I think thts more of the challenge then deciding on feeding my son or paying the light bill...but you can have a child and still be feminine and still achieve as long as you put yourself in better situations and make better decisions moving forward.

When I was 18, my mom opened up a credit card in my name and didn’t tell me. Long story short, I went to the hospital and she put the bill on my credit card without my knowledge. She gives me the credit card a few months later and tells me not to use it. About a year later, I get curious about it and look up what’s been used on it. I discover my medical bill has been going unpaid for months. My credit score was completely messed up. It sucks because I’m 20 and already have a crappy credit score even though I’ve never used it. Despite raising me, my mom has never really liked me ever since I was a child, and it shows.

Wow. This is amazing. Keep taking notes. I wish I had access to this kind of information as a teenager but I am glad I did eventually.

U can have kids young only if ur married . U shouldn’t tell young women to not have children early that’s the black woman downfall we put our career before getting married n having our children in our early 20s . Then we running around looking for a man in our 30s n being desperate to have children when our bodies start to shut down ... men go for younger women this is a fact ladies take advantage of ur youthful years
