sofia cabrera ferreiro homosexuality isn't exactly biblical, so I mean you can, but any woman won't be from God only a man can fill the role God intends for you. maybe pray that God might shed some light on you in this area if you are open to it. consider doing some fasting (in the past I have fasted just desserts) and maybe listen to worship and the word of God and just surround yourself in light until you hear what God has to say on this issue. I too have been attracted to women in the past and it was extremely hard leaving a girl I wanted to pursue. but I knew what the word of God said and just thought "God might have someone amazing around the corner for me, I don't want to miss it." well I am still single but am believing God to give me a man this year. I have been married for 2 years and we have a 1 year old daughter. Several years before I even met my husband, I was having an intense time of worship and I wrote down all of the things God was telling me about my future husband. Many of them were very specific, that he would be Asian and older than me. I met Mike on Christian Mingle. Everything about him matched the list. After we had been dating for a few months, I shared the list with him. It really convicted him and encouraged him to have a stronger prayer life with The Lord. I want to encourage everyone: do not give into the lie that you have to get married right after college. I was 31 when we got married and Mike was 45. He thought he was supposed to be single because he had not met the right girl yet, but God was preparing him for the day when he would meet me. Mike actually immigrated here from the Philippines, if he had not followed the Lords calling we probably would have never met. Trust The Lord, He has a perfect plan!

What I realized some time ago: The awesome thing about thinking of what qualities you want in your future husband is the moment when you stop and think, "does this describe me?," and if not, "what do I need to do, prior to meeting my future husband, that will make this be true on my end?" After all, how can one expect all these things from their future s/o if they can't say the same about themselves? After all, a relationship is about giving to your partner rather than just solely receiving from them :) ^^^(Edited addition) I typed the above after watching the first half of the video, and once I hit play, you started describing exactly what I was thinking!! I keep a journal that I will share with my future husband someday. It documents my journey on the woman I'm becoming! It's nice because I have no idea who he is going to be but I pray for him anyway. I was told years ago to write a list and compare it to any man I would date but luckily I haven't dated anyone...I've just kept this list for myself and it makes everything so clear! I love this!! It's so encouraging to see this advice on the Internet. And serving your husband is a beautiful way to think of praying for him. I never thought of it that way before. I'm 16, almost 17. I've been praying for my future husband off and on for a few years. But a few months ago, I started a list on his characteristics and am still occasionally adding to it. Besides obviously being a Christian and an active member of the church, I added things like plays with kids/would make a good dad, and is a money saver. I've also been praying for his safety and growth as a Christian or his path in accepting Jesus as his Saviour.

I met a guy at my church who fits so many aspects of the guy I always wanted. He's a devout christian, with a goal of becoming a pastor (and really inspires my faith). He's taller than me (which sounds like nothing but at 6'1 at 17, its a miracle) we have the same sense of humor, he makes me laugh, we have had deep talks, but it seems like God has really shut that door. The close connection we have is still there, but for various reasons (him going to college (which is about 40 min away from the school I'm going to)), and pressures about who he will date from people like our youth pastor, he's being pulled away. Its incredibly confusing and hard to deal with, but praying for my future husband actually has helped this whole confusing situation.

No offense but the Word of God does not tell us to pray for our future husband. Not that there's anything necessarily bad about doing that, but I think the motive is somewhat misguided. I think in terms of waiting for marriage, you should put all of your energies into serving God and building His kingdom. The rest will come. A lot of your videos are about marriage, guys, and dating. It's a bit disappointing. There's much more to life as a Christian than that. Women and girls shouldn't be expecting and believing God to do some awesome things in their lives NOW. There should be more content about just being a girl- our hopes, dreams, expectations, insecurities, etc. I mean, I can't speak for every girl but I'm 25 and there are so many things I want to do with my life before marriage. And I know that God has so much planned for me before that happens. I look forward to but I don't focus on it. I keep my eyes on God and focus on making my relationship with Him even stronger. It hurts me to think that there are still people out there who think this is the 1800's, and that people, especially women, deserve to basically be slaves to their partners. No human being deserves to be brainwashed in such a way that they consider themselves unworthy of any treatment other than living at home without ambitions or passions. I actually feel sorry for this young woman. I feel upset that she managed to alter her entire personality based on a book she read as a young teen and now she thinks that she doesn't deserve to be a part of modern society, and only deserves to be a textbook example of a maid or a nanny for the family she's clearly choosing to make. We need strong women in the world with equal rights to men and individuals of all other genders, or else we will eventually turn back to the ways of our ancestors, in a dark and corrupted world where only white men had any human rights. I feel especially sorry for other girls, young teenagers, who fall victim to the ways of people like Bethany. You have the right to choose the world you want to make for yourself. Don't live your whole life believing that you aren't strong enough, or that the working world is a mans world. Women are just as strong as men, and deserve equal rights, not to be cooped up in a house without freedom. Even if someone tells you that you aren't going to be as strong as a man because of your gender, you shouldn't believe them, because you only have as much strength as you choose to have. Make a wise choice.

I'm sorry but I really have to correct you. Women should not be taught to "serve" men and their families but rather to pursue their own independent goals. For example, look at Ada Lovelace - she revolutionised the world of computer programming - ; Rosalind Franklin - She discovered DNA and was later awarded an Nobel prize, albeit after her death-; Emmeline Pankhurst (a personal hero of mine), who was the leader of the suffragette movement; Rosa Parks, who prompted peaceful protest against segregation and so on. Thank you for sharing you video with us. Well, I've heard this kind of thing to a sister of mine in the Christian ministry and also my former roommate. She always tells me that, she's still praying for the right man of her life in line with God's will. She already asked some signs if ever the guy is not too far anytime from now, cause she's already 32 now. And I've seen how God gave those signs to her. But not too fast, it's not easy she said, to cling on that. But actually, I could feel that it is the guy that God matched her. May the good Lord bless them.

I like this idea but at the same time God doesn't owe us marriage and if we act like He does we are only focusing on the less important things in our life and not serving God as much as we can and should.

Some things I pray for is his love and relationship with our Lord, I pray for his patience, I pray for his ability to love and care for others, I pray for his strength (not psychically but mentally), and most importantly I pray for his struggles before I pray for mine because although I have been through a lot, I can't expect him to be there for me if he is not whole himself.

I´ve been having this question on my mind...What if God calls you to serve Him all your life as a single woman, and you just keep praying for a husband and it is not His plan to give you one? Because if you are praying for a future husband, you subconsciously have the idea, or believe, that at some point in your life (it could be soon or take years), God is going to answer your prayer and give you a Godly man. What do you think?

Lisania Matrón I think it's still ok to pray for a husband if that's what you want. The bible encourages us to bring things to God in prayer. You may not get the husband you pray for in the end. That wouldn't mean you shouldn't have prayed though. It might be worth saying things like, "if my future husband is out there somewhere, please...." If you want to remind yourself that it's all according to God's will.

(P. S. I am using my dad's account. ) Hi Bethany and my other sisters in Christ! I have a problem. I just turned 16 a couple weeks ago and I somehow began very interested in praying for my future husband. I told my friend excitedly about how I started praying for him and she asked me why I was praying for my future husband if my prayers would have absolutely no impact on his life. I felt challenged by this question even though I know for sure that my prayers can touch his heart even now. But I honestly didn't know how to respond correctly. God can respond to our prayers for individuals whether we know them or not. Although some Biblical commands for prayer are referencing certain individuals (like Paul), there are also prayers commanded for groups of people (like rulers--II Thess. 3:1). God also makes it clear that He can answer prayers regarding our deepest fears and desires, even when we cannot find a way to communicate them coherently (Rom. 8:26).

(James 5:16 KJV) The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous woman avails much also! We are God's children. Sometimes children need to reach out and let their parent carry them in his arm. When we pray, God recognizes our need and knows how to care for us, even better than our parents. I am a man and single, getting old now. Living a single life for God has been great for me, although there were times when I thought I wanted a wife. I should have been better though, I sort of lost hope in women, instead of developing myself spiritually and waiting on God. I think rather single or married, great joy is available either way by looking unto God and obeying him. Absolutely, how you pray and obey God now can prepare you for your mate.
