I’ve been through hell with my mental health and with all my ex’s and with all that trauma and flashbacks it’s like i forgot how to love and be loved you know. I’ve been cheated on multiple times and have been mentally abused in past relationships and that really fucked me up and In my current relationship that I’m in right now I’m trying to learn how to find myself again. I had to start over and find who I am. I had to learn and accept that not everyone is my ex. Not everyone is gonna just leave and not everyone is just here to hurt me and use me. My boyfriend really showed me that. He shows me what it’s like to be loved. What it’s like to have someone who cares and someone who’s there for you no matter what and is willing to fight through all the hard times already. My ex made me really toxic and created this monster in me that I never was before him but my boyfriend understands that and is willing to stick with me while I find myself again. Your words in this song really describe how I feel and is exactly what I want to say to him. Your songs honestly saved me from going back into the deep end because I was so close to just giving myself up and letting the demons take over but you and your songs really made me realize that it isn’t over and my fight isn’t over.
