I’ve actually just recently started watching Naruto because you guys were talking about starting this Anime on your DBZ reaction channel all the time, so you pretty much inspired me! I’ve only finished the first two big arcs and I can already say I’m in love with this series. I must say though, in the beginning I was watching the English dub, but was forced to watch in Japanese with English subs because the dub was nog available at that time. But when they catched up and went back with the dub, i just couldn't do it anymore. The voice acting in Japanese is so much better! I feel like Dragon Ball is one of the exceptions when it comes to awesome voice acting English vs Japanese.

i love dragon ball, it’s one of my favorites mainly because it was my first anime. naruto on the other hand, is genuinely one of the greatest stories i’ve ever seen. if you enjoyed dragon ball this will be on a whole other level. it takes a little for it to pick up but once it does it’s great. just give it some time and trust that it’s one of the most popular anime for a reason

So glad you started her on Naruto. Sure it's infinitely better in Sub but still a good show in Dub (even if heavily sensored). But yes Naruto was so good that I pretty much gave up on watching other Anime because the story telling & world building is just so intricate and well balanced it makes all the other Anime's I've seen whether AOT, Bleach, My Hero etc... seem average by comparison. The heavily sensored Eng Dub might be best for Madison tho. I hope you still get to enjoy this show as much as I did. DBZ is amazing but Naruto despite all it's issues and filler is too damn good.

It's honestly a good thing to watch DBZ before this. Naruto was one of the Big 3, too, and thus will be a foundation for newer Shonen as DBZ is to it and others. So worth noting that how the Shadow Clone technique works. Normal Clones are not physical and are little more than illusions. The most you can do is give it a kunai and have it throw that weapon. This technique creates actual physical bodies. They can physically attack opponents and be struck. An injury (a broken bone or solid punch) will cause them to disappear. There's also no practical limit to the number of clones one can create. It's also a forbidden technique as it can easily kill the user if they perform it wrong. Which indicates how talented Naruto actually is.
