I really like this type of content, it's very chill and laid back. Personally I feel it would serve as a nice filler or occasional buffer between your current content, but I wouldn't want it to be the primary type of content on your channel. It's great to see you experimenting and trying different things. I hope you're enjoying yourself through this process. :]

Thanks for your thoughts!! I like the idea of storytelling whether it's reddit or otherwise (scripted by me, sent in by you guys, some other source etc) leading into a song or having little song parts in it. We did it a lot in the past and it's fun, and adds more depth than just focusing on technical music stuff. I've been very happy with the videos I've been putting out recently, but it's clear to see that at least for my channel, people prefer longer videos so I'm trying fun formats around that.
@loettu2 ай бұрын
@@RoomieOfficial I like how you formulated that, because I really like your storytelling but I‘m less of a fan of the Reddit commentary. It can be entertaining but if one chooses cases with people that are so obviously idiots I feel like its neither interesting nor funny to talk about it but rather frudstraiting (I feel this with the majority of the AITA videos of Daniel Thrasher) But yor storytelling really adds to this, so the more roomie and the less idiots the better I feel;-)

As a woman (only speaking for myself), an open relationship isn't a relationship at all for me; I would never consider being in one and couldn't be with someone who has multiple partners. Emotional intimacy/exclusivity and trust are major needs in a relationship.

The guy who has a girlfriend who wants to open the relationship for herself, should stay away from people like her. She's obviously very manipulative and crazy and she will ruin his life, if he stays with her. I've seen almost exact situation play out IRL over the years with someone I know and its actually sad to see a person in such a state where she can manipulate him however she wants, literally powerless to help him, because he "loves her", thinks he doesnt need help or to get away from her.

5:25 It could be over dramatic but these questions could also be related to a trafficking ring. When my sister first moved to Tennessee with her bf, she was approached by a stranger late at night after work asking the same questions. I think this type of content fits you well. One thing I really like is how you're giving your honest opinion and not a sugar coated version you think the viewers will like. I watched too many creators just agree with what people were already saying in the comments of reddit. It's also refreshing to see you actually portray emotions instead of sitting on a couch gossiping. I think I’d really enjoy longer videos from you reviewing reddit stories.
@jensenraylight80112 ай бұрын
but, people can be brutal and offended for no reason sometimes, some creators even get 5-10 serious death threat every month, i can understand if some creators suddenly tone down their reaction, or giving a dishonest Opinion, because it's no longer an entertainment, it become a life and death situation. but yes, watching some Roomie content definitely put smile on my face again, i honestly forgot about how exciting a youtube video can be
@v.85112 ай бұрын
@@jensenraylight8011 I think at that point you need to involve the police. Simply doing what they want will not solve the issue. Or quit if you're scared, which I'm not saying out of spite. Safety is important and if you don't feel safe, you should make it a priority. I just don't think it's the right choice to listen to their demands. If they keep winning, they'll keep doing it. And before we know it, social media is just a puppet show. Which is why I'd rather encourage people who dare to be who they are and dare to speak their feelings.

Being as charitable as possible to the lottery kid . . . If he signs the ticket, he is liable for all income tax on the lottery payments. Where I live, that's about 112k. In California, that's 150k. He would get 180k per year, so still a net positive, but i would want to set terms even on a gift like this. But I'm not expecting a 19 year old to immediately consider tax brackets.

@linnoff2 ай бұрын
Yeah, I just ran it through a quick tax calculator for where I live, and he'd have 220k left after taxes, or only 37k after giving half to dad. This doesn't even account for how "gifts" are taxed, which is to say the person giving the gift usually pays the taxes for it (according to the IRS website) which means the kid would have to pay another 62k in taxes for the "gift". The solution for them would have been to see an accountant who could figure out the most optimal way for them to split it so they each receive an equal share. (I went deeper on this than I planned)

I like to tell people, that jokes and pranks are only funny if all participants (willing or otherwise) are laughing. If someone is not laughing because they are offended...than it was not a joke or a prank. The only exception to this is is the joke is truly a harmless one and the other person just did not find it funny, at which point, you just do not tell the joke to that person ever again.
